Abstract

To make it possible to produce a ultrafine filament ranging up to a nano-filament continuously and constantly from all kinds of thermoplastic polymer with a simple means without requiring a special, high-accuracy/high-level device; and a nano-filament produced by the above is also provided. A raw filament fed out by a filament feeding-out means is supplied to an orifice under a P1 atmospheric pressure, and is heated and stretched by a infrared light beam directly under the orifice under a P2 atmospheric pressure (P1>P2), whereby a ultrafine filament ranging up to a nano-filament region is produced; and a producing means for it.
