Abstract

A pressure regulator (1) is provided with a housing (2), which has a small diameter channel (6) having an inflow port (9) and a large diameter channel (5) having a fluid outflow port (12). The small diameter channel (6) and the large diameter channel (5) communicate with each other in the housing (2), and an opening (8) of the small diameter channel (6) is formed to face the large diameter channel (5) at a connecting section between the small diameter channel (6) and the large diameter channel (5). A ball (3) abutting to the periphery (11) of the opening (8) is arranged in the large diameter channel (5). The ball (3) is brought into pressure-contact with the periphery (11) by a valve spring (4), and a valve section (16) is formed. Since the opening area of the channel does not change before the valve section (16), pressure loss is not generated before the valve section (16), and pressure gradient is suppressed.
