Abstract

A field element (12) comprises magnets (126) and magnetic plates (128). The magnets (126) are arranged in a ring along the circumferential direction (93). Each of the magnets (126) has the magnetic pole surface (126i) in the radial (94) direction of the ring and the magnetic pole surface (126h) in the direction opposite to the radial direction. Each of the magnetic plates (128) covers the magnetic pole surface (126i) while exposing at least a part of the magnetic pole surface (126i) in the direction (92) along the center axis (91). A pair of magnetic plates (128) covering the magnets (126) adjacent to each other along the circumferential direction (93) is separated from each other.
