Abstract

L'invention concerne un système comprenant au moins un transducteur configuré pour émettre au moins une impulsion ultrasonore dans une région d'intérêt (ROI) d'un patient. L'impulsion a au moins une première fréquence et se propage à travers une structure corporelle dans la ROI. Le système comprend en outre au moins un récepteur configuré pour recevoir au moins un signal d'écho correspondant à l'impulsion. Le signal d'écho comprend la première fréquence et au moins un multiple harmonique de la première fréquence. Le système comprend en outre un processeur configuré pour déterminer automatiquement, à partir d'au moins un multiple harmonique, au moins une limite de la structure corporelle. Dans un mode de réalisation, le processeur est configuré pour déterminer automatiquement, à partir d'au moins un multiple harmonique, une quantité de fluide dans la structure corporelle.
