Abstract

Disclosed is a cleaning agent containing a fluorinated cyclic unsaturated hydrocarbon represented by the formula (1) below. Also disclosed is a method for cleaning an article, which is characterized by comprising a step wherein the article is brought into contact with the cleaning agent. The cleaning agent is excellent in cleaning properties, incombustibility and stability, while placing extremely little burden on the environment. In addition, this cleaning agent has a low solidifying point, and is excellent in handleability. In the formula (1) below, X, Y and Z independently represent a fluorine atom or a hydrogen atom, provided that atleast one of X, Y and Z is a hydrogen atom; and n represents 2 or 3. (1)
