Abstract
Disclosed is a novel catalyst for decomposition of dinitrogen monoxide which enables to efficiently decompose and remove dinitrogen monoxide without containing an expensive component such as a noble metal. Also disclosed is a method for processing a dinitrogen monoxide-containing gas using such a catalyst. Specifically disclosed is a catalyst for decomposition of dinitrogen monoxide which contains a component A containing at least one element selected from group 2 elements (such as CaCO3), a component B containing at least one element selected from group 3, 4 and 14 elements (such as CeO2), and a component C containing nickel (namely, NiO).
