Abstract

A payload deployment system for a vessel is described, the system including a payload dispenser for holding a payload. In one embodiment the system also includes an ejection element in the payload dispenser, the ejection element being moveable along a path defined by the payload dispenser. The ejection element is arranged to releasably engage the payload and is self-propellable thereby to move along the path and eject the payload from the payload dispenser.
