Abstract
L'invention concerne une machine Stirling à piston libre linéaire muni d'un axe principal (2) de mouvement alternatif, ladite machine comprenant un piston moteur (4) et un piston auxiliaire (3). Pendant l'utilisation, le piston auxiliaire est entraîné en un mouvement alternatif déplaçant du gaz dans des directions alternativement opposées à travers un régénérateur (7) entre des espaces chaud et froid. Le régénérateur est annulaire ; il est centré sur l'axe principal et entoure le piston auxiliaire. Le régénérateur comporte une pluralité de sections (11, 12, 13) disposées axialement en série, chaque section incluant une bobine de feuille enroulée. Les sections sont disposées de telle sorte que les passages d'écoulement d'une section sont décalés par rapport à ceux d'une section adjacente.
