Description

Description
LED SIGNBOARDS
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to an LED signboard including light emitting elements installed in a groove of a transparent resin body which can maximize a lifespan of the light emitting element by protecting the light emitting element against moisture and dust, remarkably enhance the productivity due to reduced material and easy assembly, conveniently manufacture any display designed in complex shape, allow an operator to easily handle and carry it due to the thin thickness, and remarkably improve the aesthetic appreciation and quality by irradiating light from all sides of the body in three dimensions. Background Art
[2] As society is complicated, there is keen competition in the advertisement field in order to attract public gaze. Therefore, more effective advertising means have been developed. One of examples is an LED signboard.
[3] Recently the LED signboards are changed from background boards which are utilized for conventional advertisement to character signboards or symbol signboards.
[4] A conventional LED signboard 100 includes, as shown in Fig. 7, a frame 120, a light emitting element 130 installed at a rear portion of the frame 120, a display board 110 of transmissive board installed on a front portion of the frame 120 and designed in any character or shape, and a fixing frame 160 for fixing the display board 110 to the frame 120.
[5] When the LED signboard 110 is installed in a wanted position, a rear board 140 having the same as the display board 110 is mounted on the frame 120, and the rear board 140 is fixed to a structure, such as a wall, by means of a screw 170. In this instance, the light emitting element 130, in which an LED lamp 131 is mounted on a printed circuit board 133, is mounted on the rear board 140.
[6] Then, the display board 110 is disposed at the front of the frame 120, and the fixing frame 160 is fastened to the frame 120.
[7] With the conventional signboard, since the signboard is installed to the structure in several stages, many workers and much assembling time are required. The rear board 140 and the display board 110 should be prepared to have the same shape, and the frame 120 and the fixing frame 160 should be bent to the round appearance of the display board.
[8] Accordingly, a lot of work efforts are required, and it is not possible to manufacture a display board of small characters or complicated round shapes. [9] Also, there is another drawback in that since the light emitting portion is defined by two-dimensional plane, aesthetic appreciation is degraded. Disclosure of Invention
