Abstract

Cette invention porte sur une tige intramédullaire (10) pour la fixation d'une fracture osseuse ou d'une ostéotomie qui présente au moins deux parties (12a, 13) de différentes densités radio à chaque région d'extrémité longitudinale de la tige. Les parties de différentes densités radio permettent aux régions dans lesquelles des vis de fixation peuvent être introduites d'être facilement identifiées à l'aide d'imagerie par rayons X. Dans un mode de réalisation, la tige a un corps principal (12) formé de titane et des parties (13) de matière polymère (13) sont situées dans des fentes formées à chaque extrémité du corps. La matière polymère a une densité radio différente par rapport au titane et peut être forée in situ pour accepter des vis de fixation. Dans un autre mode de réalisation (Figure 6), une couche centrale de matière polymère (213) étend la longueur de la tige entre deux parties de gaine de titane (212a). Dans encore un autre mode de réalisation (Figure 7), la tige (310) comprend deux parties de gaine (312a) de métal solide et une maille centrale (313) du même matériau.
