Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determining a gap size. A three-dimensional image is generated of the region with the gap. The measured values of the contours defining the gap are smoothed and then the gap size (Sp) determined from the smoothed contours using a stored instruction set. The invention further related to a corresponding device.
