Abstract

Es wird ein Messelement (10) mit einer eine Maßverkörperung umfassenden, kreisförmigen oder linearen Spur (12) und einer Anzahl zur Abtastung der Spur (12) vorgesehener Sensoren angegeben, bei dem zur Abtastung der Spur (12) mindestens zwei die Sensoren umfassende Abtastköpfe (18, 19, 20; 22, 23, 24) vorgesehen sind. Bei dem Messelement (10) umfasst die Spur (12) zumindest eine erste und eine zweite Teilspur (14, 16) mit jeweils einer ersten und einer zweiten Maßteilungsperiode. Für jede vorkommende Maßteilungsperiode weist sodann einer der Abtastköpfe (18, 19, 20; 22, 23, 24) eine auf diese Maßteilungsperiode abgestimmte Sensoranordnung auf.
