Abstract

Methods and compositions directed to lowering emissions for any uses for combustion of middle distillates derived from petroleum refining. Compositions include fuel comprising butyl succinates as oxygenates, extenders, and replacers. Methods include processes of utilizing butyl succinates as oxygenates, extenders, and replacers in fuel to reduce particulate or other emissions.
