Abstract
Multipurpose Turning Switch For Vehicles (MTS) is a system which is used for the convenience of the driver. The objective is the driver to do the minimum movements to turn on or off several electronics, electrical and mechanical systems (WINDOWS, AIR-CONDITION, CENTRAL LOCK, HANDBRAKE, PARK - ALARM) (when the driver start or park the car). MTS it's a turning switch with 4 positions (Left, Neutral, Right 1, Right 2) and in function Park - Alarm it can be combined (optional capability of the driver) with an electronic gas pedal with adjustable velocity for parking (first run of the pedal is neutral).
Description
MULTIPURPOSE TURNING SWITCH + ELECTRONIC GAS PEDAL FOR PARKING
Multipurpose Turning Switch For Vehicles ( MTS ) is a system which is used for the convenience of the driver. The objective is the driver to do the minimum movements to turn on or off several electronics, electrical and mechanical systems which used when the driver start or park the car. MTS has 4 positions. One of the positions is the neutral position.
The left position of MTS is optional.
If driver doesn't activate AUTO WINDOWS function ( turn the switch right from the neutral position ) then the climate control is activated ( Unless the switch AUTO-CFT AIR-CONDITION is to the position OFF or CFT 2 under some conditions - the conditions of CFT 2 will be determined in a next patent ).
Gas pedal with the first run neutral ( after the push of the button with double arrow ).
If the driver lift the foot the car will accelerate ( to the maximum adjustable speed if we lift the foot very much ).
If the driver press the gas pedal the car will retardate and probably stop ( if we press the pedal very much ).
In Figure 1 shows the location of MTS (The circle with the two lines inside) and the six constant velocities (15,13,11,9, 7, 5 km or miles) (buttons 1 - 6) in the car.
They have been placed in optical field of the driver and it's near the direction selection buttons ( D, N, R ). All the driver has to do is to turn the Multipurpose
Turning Switch For Vehicles left or right to different positions to fulfill his needs
( table above ) and to warn the drivers and the pedestrians.
In Figure 2 shows one moving placket which has several switches and buttons.
The switches which are important for the present patent is the switch AUTO
WINDOWS and the switch AUTO-CFT AIR-CONDITION.
The switch AUTO WINDOWS has two positions (Driver Window or Both Front Windows). The switch AUTO-CFT AIR-CONDITION has five positions.
The description of the AUTO-CFT AIR-CONDITION will be analyzed in a future patent but the OFF and AUTO positions are very clear to everyone.
The Park - Alarm function is a new function and it's very useful because a large drivers percentage don't use the flash light when they park or start the car. The color and the frequency of Park - Alarm will be determined from international regulations which nations and car industries will agree.
The P for Parking (only for cars with automatic transmission) has been transferred (from the lever) to the neutral position of the MTS.
The right position 1 (only for cars with automatic transmission) usually has the D (Drive) but if the driver wishes can change that selection when the car is for service. It's not necessary to put a selection switch for right position 1 because the driver knows what he want and he doesn't need often changes.
Claims
1. Multipurpose Turning Switch is a turning switch with 4 positions combined (optional capability) with electronic gas pedal for parking and it's been characterized from:
A) In neutral position the handbrake is active with the central lock inactive. B) In left position the driver window or both front windows get down.
C) In right position 1 the handbrake is inactive ( push brake ) and the central lock is active.
D) In right position 2 the handbrake and the central lock remain as in previous position but the function Park — Alarm is activated ( flash lights maybe of different color from the orange flash ). The function Park- Alarm warns the drivers and the pedestrians about parking or unparking.
2. MTS is a turning switch with 4 positions combined with electronic gas pedal for parking and according to claims IB and 1C it's been characterized from: The left position is optional and if the driver doesn't activate the function AUTO WINDOWS ( turn the switch right from the neutral position ) then the climate control is activated ( Unless the switch AUTO-CFT AIR-CONDITION is to the position OFF or CFT 2 ( CFT 2 under some conditions — future patent )
3. MTS is a turning switch with 4 positions combined with electronic gas pedal for parking and according to claim ID it's been characterized from: If the driver push the button with double arrow (Figure 1) when the function Park - Alarm is active he / she can park ( no unpark ) with one pedal (constant or adjustable velocity ). ( Optional system which is been deactivated when we turn the MTS to the left or we switch off the engine ). There are 6 constant velocities (15,11,9,7,5 km or miles)
4. MTS is a turning switch with 4 positions combined with electronic gas pedal for parking and according to claims ID and 3 it's been characterized from: The gas pedal has the first run neutral ( after the push of the button with double arrow ).
If the driver lift the foot the car will accelerate ( to the maximum adjustable speed if the driver lift the foot very much ).
If the driver press the gas pedal the car will retardate and probably stop ( if the driver press the pedal very much ).
5. MTS is a turning switch with 4 positions combined with electronic gas pedal for parking and according to claim ID it's been characterized from:
The color and the frequency of Park - Alarm will be determined from international regulations which nations and car industries will agree.
6. MTS is a turning switch with 4 positions combined with electronic gas pedal for parking and according to claim IA the P for Parking (only for cars with automatic transmission) has been transferred to the neutral position of the MTS.
