Abstract

A mobile phone case, that is, a case to be used for a mobile phone, has silicone parts, which are double injected on the case with various colors and patterns. The mobile phone case has soft silicone parts selectively and integrally formed on predetermined portions of inner and outer faces of the case. The soft silicone parts are made via double injection molding when the case is injection-molded, and have at least one color selected from a group consisting of various color combinations and/or at least one feature selected from a group consisting of various shapes, patterns and letters.

Description

[DESCRIPTION]
[invention Title]
MOBILE PHONE CASE BY DOUBLE INJECTION MOLDING [Technical Field] The present invention relates to a case for a mobile phone (hereinafter abbreviated as Λmobile phone case' ) .
More particularly, the present invention relates to a mobile phone case having silicone parts, which are provided, via double injection, on the case with various colors and patterns.
[Background Art]
As is well known in the art, a mobile phone case is used to protect a mobile phone from external impacts and foreign materials as well as to express the personality of the user. While pocket type cases made of fiber or leather were used in the past, the current trend is toward synthetic resin cases, which are produced by injection-molding of hard synthetic resin in a specific shape that conforms to the outline of a mobile phone. In this kind of mobile phone case, size and shape are determined according to the outline of the mobile phone. Furthermore, it is necessary for the mobile phone case to tightly hold the mobile phone while being freely attachable/detachable to/from the mobile phone. Therefore, in the mobile phone case, an inner face or a fitting protrusion formed on the inner face is configured to elastically fit into a fitting protrusion formed on an upper side portion or a side portion of the mobile phone. In order to improve the aesthetic appearance thereof, various materials are widely used, which are transparent, colored and/or applied with a soft coating.
However, this kind of planar configuration has the following internal and external limitations: It is impossible to apply different material to the surface of the body base of the mobile phone case in order to form an aesthetic three-dimensional feature, such as a shape, a pattern, a letter or a number, on part of the mobile phone case. It is also difficult to enhance the functions of the mobile phone case through the use of different materials.
Accordingly, the present invention has been devised to solve the foregoing problems with the prior art. The present invention proposes to integrally arrange a soft silicone material, which enables various color combinations, on a widely used material of the mobile phone case via double injection molding. [Disclosure of Invention] [Technical Problem]
According to the mobile phone case of the present invention, at least one silicone part having a beautiful color is selectively and integrally arranged on at least one of inner and outer faces of the mobile phone case, thereby creating a refined appearance, improving the tactile sensation experienced by a user via the cushioning effect, increasing frictional force, more safely protecting a mobile phone from external impact via the intrinsic buffering ability of silicone, and protecting the mobile phone from scratches that would otherwise be formed on the mobile phone due to frequent attachment/detachment of the mobile phone case.
According to an aspect of the present invention for realizing the object, there is provided a case for a mobile phone, comprising a soft silicone part selectively and integrally formed on a predetermined portion of inner and outer faces of the case, wherein the soft silicone part is made via double injection molding when the case is injection- molded, and has at least one color selected from a group consisting of various color combinations and/or at least one feature selected from a group consisting of various shapes, patterns and letters . [Advantageous Effects]
According to the present invention as set forth above, the silicone parts having various colors can be integrally arranged on the hard case in the form of letters, numbers, animals or corporate logos, thereby creating a refined appearance. The case attached to a secondhand mobile phone can give a high grade appearance to the mobile phone. The mobile phone case can improve user convenience due to its arrangement and material properties as well as ensure that the mobile phone is protected from external impacts and the penetration of foreign materials. [Description of Drawings]
FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view illustrating a conventional mobile phone case;
FIGS 2 to 7 are exploded perspective views illustrating various embodiments of a mobile phone case according to the present invention; and
FIGS. 8 and 10 are cross-sectional views illustrating an important part of the mobile phone case according to the present invention.
<Major Reference Signs of the Drawings>
10: case 11: dispensing portion
20: silicone material [Best Mode]
The present invention will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which preferred embodiments of the present invention are shown.
In the accompanying drawings, FIGS. 2 to 7 are exploded perspective views illustrating various embodiments of a mobile phone case according to the present invention, and FIGS. 8 and 10 are cross-sectional views illustrating an important part of the mobile phone case according to the present invention. As shown in the drawings, the present invention provides a mobile phone case 10, which is made of a transparent or opaque hard material and formed into a shape conforming to that of a mobile phone. Soft silicone parts 20 are made via double injection molding when the mobile phone case 10 is injection-molded. The silicone parts 20 having various color combinations are selectively formed on and integrally attached to predetermined inner/outer face portions of the mobile phone case 10. The silicone parts 20 can also have various shapes, patterns and letters.
One or more dispensing portions 11 can be formed in one or more thickness dimension portions of the mobile phone case 10, which is made of PC or PP, so that the molding material for the silicone parts 20 can be introduced through the dispensing portions 11 during the injection molding of the silicone parts 20. The introduced material can be tightly and integrally attached to the mobile phone case 10. In some cases, the dispensing portions 11 can be formed of grooves rather than through holes penetrating the mobile phone case 10, so that specific patterns can be formed on predetermined portions of one of the inner and outer faces . Considering the features of the mobile phone case 10, it is not preferable that the silicone parts 20 excessively protrude outward. Rather, it is preferable that the silicone parts 20 minimally protrude from the mobile phone case 10 to give a smooth three-dimensional appearance. The silicone parts 20 can be arranged differently according to the geometry of the inner and outer faces, which can be more effective in reducing material costs and improve the efficiency of operations and functions .
In the case where beauty and utility are important, the silicone parts 20 can be formed to slightly protrude from predetermined portions of the outer face of the mobile phone case 10, which the hand of a user generally touches, in order to form anti-slip features such as waves and stripes, thereby improving the tactile sensation experienced of the user and preventing slipping. This can give a good tactile sensation to the user and prevents slipping, which would otherwise be caused by the slippery outer face of the case 10, which is made of synthetic resin. In a case where the aesthetic outer appearance is considered important, various colorful patterns can be suitably arranged on predetermined portions of the outer face of the mobile phone case 10. Then, the dispensing portions 11 are arranged on the outer face of the mobile phone case 10 so that pluralities of patterns, formed of a single molding material, can be disposed in pluralities of areas. Since one of the main functions of the mobile phone case 10 is to safely protect the mobile phone from the environment, it is preferable to provide a buffering function to both inner and outer portions of the mobile phone case 10 using the silicone parts 20. For this purpose, the silicone parts 20, made of a soft material, are arranged in the form of a thin sheet along the entire inner face of the mobile phone case 10, or are formed to slightly protrude along edges, inner peripheral portions, or an opening for an LCD dispensing portion of the mobile phone case 10. This, as a result, can prevent external dust or foreign materials from penetrating into the area between the mobile phone case 10 and the mobile phone, as well as enhance the holding force between the mobile phone case 10 and the mobile phone. Furthermore, this can protect the mobile phone from scratches that would otherwise be formed on the mobile phone due to the frequent attachment/detachment of the mobile phone case 10.
