Description

"EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM FOR AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLES IN GENERAL"
The present patent relates to safety systems for automotive vehicles in general, more specifically to an emergency braking system for automotive vehicles in general which, according to the general characteristics thereof, possesses as a basic principle to provide the formation of a braking system in a proper and specific mechanical structure based on mechanical locking interfaces and basically intended for trucks and similar vehicles in general, in order to provide, in an extremely safe, practical and economic way, full enhancement and accuracy when the immediate braking of an automotive vehicle in motion in required and having as a basis the formation of braking system with great resistance, durability and versatility. With specific design and shape, easily accessible for a better adaptation and safety for the users, practical handling, functionality, accessible cost and due to its general characteristics, is easily adaptable to the most varied types of automotive vehicles, users and places in general, regardless of the characteristics thereof.
The patent in question is characterized in that it aggregates components and processes in a differentiated concept to meet the several requirements the nature of its use demands, that is, emergency braking in automotive vehicles. Such concept provides a braking system having more efficiency, functionality, resistance, safety, accuracy, versatility, durability, and mainly economy, due to its excellent technical qualities, thereby providing advantages and improvements in the braking procedures during emergency situations, the general characteristics of which differ from the other shapes and models known in the current state of the art. The present patents consists in the utilization of a modern, efficient, safe and functional emergency braking system for automotive vehicles in general formed by an assembly of properly incorporated mechanical and automotive solutions, comprising a complete and differentiated braking system, with an exclusive design, optimum finish details and proprietary characteristics, incorporating a proper and specific mechanical structure, of high durability and resistance, general parallelepipedal shape, made of metallic material of high resistance or similar material and possessing properly integrated and symmetrically arranged mechanical locking interfaces as central locking elements for the braking system and a driving device as a driving element for the mechanical locking interfaces, in order to provide the formation of a complete, safe and optimized assembly, whose shapes and external and internal arrangements directly adapt to several types of automotive vehicles in general, mainly trucks, and several different types of road surfaces.
Nowadays, the large majority of accidents involving automotive vehicles, mostly trucks, in traffic situations descending sharp inclines, is directly caused by the malfunction of their original braking systems, this malfunction being caused by human failure while activating them and/or mechanical failures in general such as breaking or wearing out of the components thereof largely caused by lack of maintenance, thus preventing the vehicle from braking in a safe way when the brakes are activated by drivers.
Consequently, the general concept of the present braking system is fully based on mechanical locking interfaces with an extremely simplified and compact structure, separate from the vehicle brake system, that is, with extremely practical manufacturing, installation and maintenance procedures. Thus, in case of an emergency braking of the automotive vehicle, these interfaces are mechanically or electronically actuated and released by the driver and directly projected between the vehicle wheels and the road surface on which they are supported, generating, between these parts, the physical effect widely known as friction, which allows the vehicle full stop in a fully safe distance, that is, without causing accidents and/or damages.
The present braking system is based on the application of components and processes in a differentiated concept without, however, achieving a high degree of sophistication and complexity, thereby allowing to solve some of the main inconveniences of the other shapes and models in the current state of the art used in emergency braking situations of automotive vehicles in general, which are located in a work range wherein they are difficult to be applied, low efficiency and performance and accidents are fairly frequent and the shapes and/or models are highly unsafe and fragile, present a very low durability and resistance, a great waste of time, terrible finish details, very low versatility, a ridiculous performance, inaccuracy, a fairly high cost, general high volume and weight, complex handling, high maintenance costs and complex manufacturing processes.
The objects, advantages and other important characteristics of the patent in question can be more easily understood when read jointly with the appended drawings, wherein: Figure IA is an upper perspective view of the mechanical locking interface applied to the emergency braking system for automotive vehicles in general in the under-chassis anchorage configuration.
