Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé pour déterminer automatiquement les intérêts des usagers d'une bibliothèque sans identifier les usagers, ni enfreindre leur vie privée, en fonction de l'utilisation courante que font ces usagers des éléments consultables de la bibliothèque. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste : à catégoriser les éléments consultables de la bibliothèque au moyen de vastes catégories de mappage d'intêrêts d'utilisateur; à associer une catégorie d'intérêts d'utilisateur avec un élément consultable spécifique de la bibliothèque qui a été emprunté, réservé ou utilisé d'une autre manière par un usager de la bibliothèque, et à fournir à cet usager un élément de confirmation comportant cette catégorie d'intérêts d'utilisateur; à fournir à l'usager de la bibliothèque un retour d'informations concernant les éléments consultables de la bibliothèque et les vastes catégories de mappage d'intérêts d'utilisateur; à permettre aux usagers de la bibliothèque d'accéder à un programme de récompenses de la bibliothèque et de s'inscrire à ce programme au moyen du nombre de catégories d'intérêts d'utilisateur; et à fournir des informations pertinentes et des récompenses aux usagers de la bibliothèque demandant ce type d'informations supplémentaires, par l'intermédiaire d'annonceurs.
