Abstract

The present invention relates to a refrigerator or freezer to be fitted in a recreation vehicle, having a body and a door which is attached to said body such that it can pivot. Said door has a supporting structure (20) with a visible face which is provided with a cabinet decorative layer and has a significant curvature. The special feature of the refrigerator or freezer according to the invention is that the outermost surface of the visible face which is seen by the user when the appliance is in use is formed by a shell (1) which is highly flexible or permanently preformed in accordance with the curvature, is not flat and is in each case thin but largely self-supporting. This shell supports the cabinet decorative layer which is placed on the supporting structure (20) of the door. The visible face of said shell is largely hidden when the door is closed. The shell (1) is preferably designed such that it can be removed from the supporting structure (20) again.
