Abstract

Heat exchangers according to a number of different embodiments are described and illustrated, many of which include one or more partitions in one or more collecting tanks for directing fluid to be cooled through different sections of the heat exchanger. In some embodiments, one or more of such partitions can be movable in longitudinal or transverse directions to provide for control of fluid flow through the heat exchanger. Stationary or movable partitions can separate different flow regions in the heat exchanger, including different sets of tubes dedicated for respective fluid flows in the heat exchanger, and different portions of tubes dedicated for respective fluid flows in the heat exchanger. In some embodiments, the heat exchanger has a number of tubes with contoured ends received within headers associated with collecting tanks of the heat exchanger.
