Abstract

The invention relates to an aid device allowing a user to sit down on a seat element, such as the seat part of a chair, a toilet seat, etc., and to stand up again, said device comprising a chassis (C) provided in particular with means of engagement for the user, pneumatically controlled telescopic means, such as at least one actuator (V1), bearing the seat element (4), means for initial pressurizaton of said pneumatically controlled telescopic means, and a reservoir for fluid such as air, the reservoir being formed preferably by the chassis (C) of the device, the seat element (4) being held in the upper position by the pneumatically controlled telescopic means, under the action of the means for initial pressurization, and preferably inclined forwards. The invention additionally comprises means for locking said seat element in terms of position relative to the ground and/or in terms of height, so as to guarantee safe use of said aid device.
