Abstract

The invention relates to instrument panels intended to incorporate a vent which comprises an invisible functional part (11) of common design for an entire series of instrument panels for various types of vehicles, and a visible functional part (13) of a design specific to each type of vehicle. The invisible functional part (11) fulfils at least one of the elementary functions of blanking off, vertical orientation and horizontal orientation that a motor vehicle vent fulfils. The visible functional part (13) fulfils at least one other of these elementary functions, and the invisible and visible functional parts (11, 13) together fulfil all these elementary functions.
