Abstract

The present invention relates to an elevating-type kitchen range hood, the kitchen range hood comprises: a rectangular support frame supportably secured to a wall surface or a ceiling; a body having a predetermined vertical length secured to the center side of the support frame and provided with a control panel of a predetermined size at the front lower end thereof; an elevating portion inserted into the lower end of the body and having a predetermined length in the vertical direction, and formed with a blowing hole of a predetermined size at the inside thereof in such a manner as to penetrate through vertically; a hood plate disposed at the lower end of the elevating portion so that it can curvedly extend to the right and left, and having a predetermined width and length; an electric wire control device disposed at the rear side of the body for winding or releasing the electric wire connected to the hood plate; and a hood frame disposed at the bottom surface of the hood plate, and having at least one grill and lighting of a predetermined size.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to a range hood disposed
5 at the upper side of a kitchen gas range for removing smoke and smell, and more particularly, to an elevating-type kitchen range hood, which is disposed at the upper side of the gas range in such a manner as to have a predetermined height, and is constructed to remove the food smell by

Accordingly, as shown in FIG. 1, a range hood is mounted at the upper side of a gas range for sucking and discharging the smoke and several food smells produced during the cooking in 'order to prevent such a problem. 5 However, since the conventional range hood was constructed to have a predetermined height in consideration of the inconvenience of cooking, there also occurred a problem that it was difficult to effectively discharge the food smells, hot vapor and the like. 0
Disclosure of the Invention Technical Problem
Accordingly, the present invention was devised in view of such conventional problems, and a primary object of the present invention is to provide a range hood, which can be used through elevation according to its use, and can comprise a body secured to the upper side thereof, an elevating portion moveable upward and downward by a predetermined width from the center of the body, and a blowing opening formed at the lower end of the elevating portion.
A secondary object of the present invention is to provide a range hood capable of controlling an elevating width automatically by providing a limit switch at the lower end side of the elevating portion for controlling the moving width in the upper and lower sides, and providing an one-touch switch for ' accomplishing the elevating by means of one touch and a height control switch for adjusting and stopping it after adjusting the desired height.
Technical Solution
To achieve the above objects, the present invention provides an elevating-type kitchen range hood, which is disposed at the upper side of a kitchen gas range, and is constructed to remove several smells and smokes, and the like, produced during the cooking of the food, the kitchen range hood comprising: a rectangular support frame supportably secured to a wall surface or a ceiling and having a predetermined length to the right and left; a body 20 having a predetermined vertical length secured to the center side of the support frame 10 and provided with a control panel 22 of a predetermined size at the front lower end thereof, the body being formed with a through-hole 21 of a predetermined size at the inside thereof, and with opening holes 23 of a predetermined size at the right and left sides of the upper end thereof for allowing a blower 24 and a motor 25 to be accommodated therein, respectively; an elevating portion 30 inserted into the lower end of the body 20 and having a predetermined length in the vertical direction, the elevating potion being formed with a blowing hole 31 of a predetermined size at the inside thereof in such a manner as to penetrate through vertically; a hood plate disposed at the lower end of the elevating portion so that it can curvedly extend to the right and left, and having a predetermined width and length; an electric wire control device disposed at the rear side of the body for winding or releasing the electric wire connected to the hood plate; and a hood frame disposed at the bottom surface of the hood plate, and having at least one grill and lighting of a predetermined size.
Meanwhile, the elevating portion 30 comprises a stepped portion 32 disposed at the upper side thereof in such manner as to have a predetermined thickness to the outside, a binding plate 33 disposed at the upper end in such a manner as to traverse the blowing hole 31, interlocking means 70 for interconnecting the motor 25 and the binding plate 33, and limit switches 34 disposed at the lower end of the body 20 for controlling the ascending/descending of the elevating portion 30.
Also, the interlocking means may be an electric wire 7OA, which is wound or released by means of the rotation of the motor 25 in the forward and reverse directions, the electric wire being secured at the upper end thereof to the rotation shaft 25A of the motor25 and secured at the lower end thereof to the binding plate 33. Furthermore, with regard to another example of the interlocking means, it may be a chain 7OB secured at both ends thereof to a gear 25B and the binding plate 33, respectively, the gear 25B being provided at the rotation shaft 25A of the motor 25.
Meanwhile, the limit switch comprises an ascending limit switch disposed at the lower end of the body and contacted with and operated by the hood plate, and a descending limit switch disposed at the inside of the body and contacted with and operated by a stepped portion of the elevating portion.
Also, the present invention can further comprise a hairy portion disposed at the lower end of the body and having a predetermined width and length toward the through- hole at the inside thereof.
The above objects, other object, advantages and features of the present invention can be more apparent from the following detailed description made in conjunction with the appending drawings showing the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Advantageous Effects
Therefore, according to the use of the elevating-type kitchen range hood of the present invention, it is possible to remove smoke and several food smell produced during the cooking of the food by means of the gas range, and it is possible to increase the blowing effect because the range hood can be ascended and descended to thereby allow it to be descended to a predetermined height during the cooking. Further, it is possible to perform the operation of the range hood in various methods according to the user' s desired methods such as manual elevating, one-touch elevating, emergency stop, and light blinking, and the like. Meanwhile, it is advantageous that an electric wire control device can be prepared to finish the electric wire exposed to the outside at the time of using electrical devices, so that the exposed electric wire can be automatically wound to accomplish the outer appearance graceful .

Best Mode for Invention
Hereinafter, the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the appending drawings .
In the appending drawings of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing an example of an elevating-type kitchen range hood, which shows a support frame 10, a body 20 coupled to the center side of the support frame 10 and having a length extending to the below, an elevating portion 30 disposed by insertion to the body 20, a hood plate 40 disposed at the end of the elevating portion 30 and having a length extending to the right and left, and a hood frame 60 disposed at the bottom of the hood plate 40.
Also, FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing a principal portion of a control panel in the elevating-type kitchen range hood of the present invention, which shows a plurality of switches disposed at the front side thereof, a hairy portion of predetermined length attached at the inner peripheral surface thereof, a descending limit switch 34B disposed at the upper surface, and an ascending limit switch 34A disposed at the bottom surface. Meanwhile, FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of interlocking means in the elevating-type kitchen range hood of the present invention, which shows an electric wire 7OA moving in coupled with a rotation shaft 25A of a motor 25 disposed at the upper side, and the electric wire 7OA being secured at the lower end thereof to an binding plate 33 disposed at the upper side of the elevating portion 30.
Furthermore, FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view showing another example of the interlocking means in the elevating- type kitchen range hood of the present invention, which shows an example of a chain 70B connecting the binding plate 33 and a gear 25B mounted at the rotation shaft 25A of the motor 24.
Meanwhile, FIG. 6 is a rear view showing a hood frame in the elevating-type kitchen range hood of the present invention, which shows an example of a grill G mounted at both sides thereof and a lighting L provided at the center side thereof.
FIG. 7 is a rear view showing an electric wire control device in the elevating-type kitchen range hood of the present invention.
The present invention comprises a rectangular support frame 10 and a body 20 supportably secured to a ceiling or wall surface of the kitchen.
The body 20 is secured to the center side of the support frame 10 and has a predetermined vertical length extending downward. The body 20 is formed with a through- hole 21 of a predetermined size at the inside thereof and with opening holes 23 of a predetermined size at the upper end thereof in the right and left sides. The body is also provided with a control panel 22 of a predetermined size at the front lower end thereof, and a blower 24 and a motor 25 accommodated at the respective opening hole 23 thereof.
Further, the hairy portion M of predetermined width and thickness can be provided at the lower end of the body 20 to the side of the inside through-hole 21.
Meanwhile, the elevating portion 30 of a predetermined vertical length is inserted into the lower end portion of the body 20, and is formed internally with a blow hole 31 in such a manner as to vertically penetrate through. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the elevating portion 30 comprises a stepped portion 32 disposed at the upper side thereof in such a manner as to have a predetermined thickness to the outside, a binding plate 33 at the upper end thereof for traversing the blow hole 31, interlocking means 70 for interconnecting the motor 25 and the binding plate 33, and a limit switch 34 disposed at the lower end of the body 20 for controlling the elevation of the elevating portion 30.
In an embodiment of the interlocking means 70, an electric wire 7OA is provided to be wound or released by the forward rotation and the reverse rotation of the motor 25, the electric wire being secured at the upper end thereof to the rotation shaft 25A of the motor 25 and secured at the lower end thereof to the binding plate 33.
Meanwhile, in another embodiment of the interlocking means 70, a chain 7OB can be provided to be secured at both ends thereof to the binding plate 33 and a gear 25B mounted to the rotation shaft 25A of the motor 25.
Furthermore, the limit switch 34 disposed at the elevating portion 30 can comprise an ascending limit switch 34A positioned at the lower end of the body 20 so that it is contacted to turn on and off by the hood plate 40, and a descending limit switch 34B positioned at the inside of the body 20 so that it is contacted to turn on and off by the stepped portion 32 of the elevating portion 30.
Meanwhile, the present invention can comprise a hood plate 40 disposed at the lower end of the elevating portion 30, extending downward to be curved in the right and left sides, and having a predetermined width and length, a hood frame 60 disposed at the bottom surface of the hood plate 40 and having at least one grill G of a predetermined size and lighting L, and an electric wire control device 50 for automatically winding the electric wire 100 connected to the lighting L disposed at the hood frame 60 or other electrical devices.
The unexplained numeral "110" represents a connection terminal disposed at one side of the support frame 10 of the present invention for connecting several electric wires. The unexplained numeral "120" represents a condenser disposed at one side of the support frame 10 of the present invention .
As shown in FIG. 2, the elevating-type kitchen range hood of the present invention as described above comprises the support frame 10 of a predetermined size so that it can be supportably secured to the wall surface or ceiling of the kitchen, which acts as a support for securing the blower 24 mounted at the upper side of the body 20. Also, the support frame 10 is provided with a connection terminal 110 and a condenser 120, and the like to which several electric wires 100 are connected for supplying the electric power to the blower 24 and the motor 25, and for blinking the lighting L disposed at the lower side hood frame 60. Accordingly, in the present invention, the connection terminal 110 to which the blower 24, the motor 25 and the several electric wires 100 are connected complicatedly, and the condenser 120 are prevented from the exposure to the outside by disposing the support frame 10 to be inserted into the inside of the ceiling so that it is not exposed to the outside, or by disposing an outer cover enclosing the support frame 10 when it is secured to the wall surface.
Meanwhile the body 20 secured to the support frame 10 is shown to be rectangular in the appending drawings, however, it can be shaped in any outer appearances such as rectangular or cylindrical shape, and the like, with predetermined length in the vertical direction, which is formed with the through-hole 21, so that the elevating portion 30 is inserted into the body 20 and can be elevated,
As shown in FIG. 3, the control panel 22 disposed at the lower end of the body 20 is to control the elevating portion 30 inserted to the body 20 through the through-hole
21, which comprises several switches used widely, such as a general electric power on/off switch, an ascending
/descending switch, an emergency stop switch, a lighting switch, and the like, and controls the operations by coupling them with the blower 24, the motor 25 and the lighting L.
Meanwhile, the ascending/descending height of the elevating portion 30 is made to be limited by the limit switch 34 disposed at the control panel 22. Explaining it more concretely, the limit switch 34B disposed at the inside of the control panel 22 intercepts the electric power to thereby stop the motor 25 by contacting the step potion 32 formed at the lower end thereof with the descending limit switch 34B when the elevating portion 30 inserted into the body 20 is descended.
Further, the ascending limit switch 34A projects toward the lower surface of the control panel 22 so that the hood plate 40 disposed at the lower end of the elevating portion 30 is ascended to contact with it to thereby stop the motor 25.
Meanwhile, the ascending/descending of the elevating portion can be constructed to be operated by one-touch by means of the limit switch 34. In this regard, the elevating portion 30 ascended by means of the operation switch, descends continuously to be contacted with the descending limit switch 34B to thereby be stopped, and when the operation switch is pressed again to the contrary, the elevating portion 30 continuously ascends to be stopped when it contacts with the ascending limit switch 34A.
Such one-touch operation of the limit switch 34 is only an example, and it can be constructed to merely limit the ascending/descending height.
Meanwhile, the elevating portion 30 uses the rotation force of the motor 25 disposed at the upper side, so that the elevating portion 30 can ascend/descend in the upper and lower directions through the body 20. This can be controlled in the forward and reverse directions, and the elevating portion 30 coupled to the motor 25 by means of the interlocking means 70 can be ascended and descended.
As shown in FIG. 4, the electric wire 7OA, which is an example of the interlocking means 70, connected to the rotation shaft 25A of the motor 25 becomes to rotate in the forward or reverse direction by means of the rotation of the motor 25, so that the electric wire 7OA can be wound or released. Also, the lower end of the electric wire 7OA is secured to the binding plate 33, so that the elevating portion 30 can be ascended and descended by the operation of the winding and releasing of the electric wire 7OA.
Accordingly, as shown in FIG. 5, the chain 7OB can be provided as for another example of the interlocking means to interlock the motor 25 with the elevating portion 30. When the gear 25B of a predetermined size is bound to the rotation shaft 25A of the motor 25, the chain 7OB becomes to rotate in the forward and reverse directions by means of the rotation of the gear 25A, and the lower side of the chain 7OB is secured to the binding plate 33so that the length of it becomes to be longer or shorter by the rotation of the chain 7OB to thereby make the elevating portion 30 ascended or descended. As for the examples of the interlocking means 70, while the electric wire 7OA and the chain 7OB have been explained, however, it can be modified and substituted in various manners and types so that those people skilled in the art can implement it easily.
As regard to the elevating portion 30 ascending/descending as described above, and the body 20 for guiding the elevating portion 30, the hairy portion M of predetermined length is provided at the inside peripheral surface in the through-hole 21 of the body 20, so that it can remove the soot, the fine dust, and the like attached at the outer peripheral surface of the elevating portion 30.
The hairy portion M is merely an example of the present invention, and it can be modified to be an airtight maintaining means such as a rubber packing, and the like, so that those skilled in the art can easily implement it.
Meanwhile, as shown in FIG. 6, the hood plate 40 provided at the lower end of the elevating portion 30, is formed to have a predetermined width and a length from the right to the left, covering a fuel intake of the gas range, and the smoke and the food smell can be flowed into the blowing inlet 31 of the elevating portion 30 via at least one of the grill G provided to the hood frame 60 disposed at the lower surface of the hood plate 40.
The strong suction force toward the upper side is acted on the inside of the blowing inlet 31 due to the blower 24. Accordingly, smoke and the food smell flowed into the grill G can be quickly sucked into the upper side of the range hood to thereby be discharged to the outside by means of the blower 24. Also, in an embodiment of providing the grill G to the present invention, a filter can be further provided to remove several alien materials flowed into side of the blower 24. Meanwhile, although the electric wire 100, which is provided to blink the lighting L of the hood frame 60, is constructed to have a predetermined marginal length in order to prepare the descending of the elevating portion 30, however, as shown in FIG. 7, the electric wire control device 50 is provided in the present invention at the rear side of the body 20 for winding and releasing the electric wire automatically according the ascending and descending of the elevating portion 30.
The electric wire control device 50 is constructed to apply elastic force for continuously winding the electric wire by using the electric cord of the housing electric device such as a vacuum cleaner or a tapeline as the elastic coil, so that it can be wound automatically. This is to implement selectively what has been implemented widely in the art, after the people skilled in the art have selected it to provide in the present invention. So, concrete description thereof will be omitted.
Meanwhile, in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, while the lighting L is provided to the hood frame 60, the present invention can be constructed in other ways such that an infrared ray lamp is provided in addition to the lighting L to produce the infrared ray, or a thermal sensor is provided to operate the elevating portion automatically during the cooking. Furthermore, it is preferable that the electric wire 100 for connecting the whole parts of the present invention is connected and finished at the inside of a groove portion, which has been formed so that it is not limited by the ascending and descending of the elevating portion 30 and is not exposed to the outside.
Accordingly, the present invention is characterized by comprising the body 20 and the elevating portion 30 for the ascending and descending of the range hood, the interlocking means 70 for ascending/descending the elevating portion 30, and ascending/descending limit switches 34A, 34B as the limit switch 34 for defining the height of the elevating portion 30 in the upper and lower sides .
Industrial Applicability
As described above, according to the use of the elevating-type kitchen range hood of the present invention, it is possible to remove smoke and several food smells produced during the cooking of the food by means of the gas range, and it is possible to increase the blowing effect because the range hood can be ascended and descended to thereby make it to be descended to a predetermined height during the cooking. Further, it is possible to perform the operation of the range hood in various methods according to the user's desired methods such as manual elevating, one- touch elevating, emergency stop, and light blinking, and the like.
Although the present invention and its advantages have been described in detail, it should be understood that the present invention is not limited to the aforementioned descriptions and the accompanying drawings, and that various modifications, substitutions and alterations can be made herein by those peoples skilled in the relevant arts without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention as defined by the appended claims .

Claims

1. An elevating-type kitchen range hood, which is disposed at the upper side of a kitchen gas range, and is constructed to remove several smells and smokes, and the like, produced during the cooking of the food, the kitchen range hood comprising: a rectangular support frame (10) supportably secured to a wall surface or a ceiling and having a predetermined length to the right and left; a body (20) having a predetermined vertical length secured to the center side of the support frame (10) and provided with a control panel (22) of a predetermined size at the front lower end thereof, the body being formed with a through-hole (21) of a predetermined size at the inside thereof, and with opening holes (23) of a predetermined size at the right and left sides of the upper end thereof for allowing a blower (24) and a motor (25) to be accommodated therein, respectively; an elevating portion (30) inserted into the lower end of the body (20) and having a predetermined length in the vertical direction, and formed with a blowing hole (31) of a predetermined size at the inside thereof in such a manner as to penetrate through vertically; a hood plate (40) disposed at the lower end of the elevating portion (30) so that it can curvedly extend to the right and left, and having a predetermined width and length; an electric wire control device (50) disposed at the rear side of the body (20) for winding or releasing the electric wire (100) connected to the hood plate (40); and a hood frame (60) disposed at the bottom surface of the hood plate (40), and having at least one grill (G) and lighting (L) of a predetermined size.

The elevating-type kitchen range hood according to claim 1, wherein the elevating portion (30) comprises a stepped portion (32) disposed at the upper side thereof in such manner as to have a predetermined thickness to the outside, a binding plate (33) disposed at the upper end in such a manner as to traverse the blowing hole (31), interlocking means (70) for interconnecting the motor (25) and the binding plate (33), and limit switches (34) disposed at the lower end of the body (20) for controlling the ascending/descending of the elevating portion (30).

The elevating-type kitchen range hood according to claim 2, wherein the interlocking means (70) is an electric wire (70A), which is wound or released by means of the rotation of the motor (25) in the forward and reverse directions, the electric wire being secured at the upper end thereof to the rotation shaft (25A) of the motor (25) and secured at the lower end thereof to the binding plate (33).
4. The elevating-type kitchen range hood according to claim 2, wherein the interlocking means (70) is a chain (70B) secured at both ends thereof to a gear (25B) and the binding plate (33), respectively, the gear (25B) being provided at the rotation shaft (25A) of the motor (25).

The elevating-type kitchen range hood according to claim 2, wherein the limit switch (34) comprises an ascending limit switch (34A) disposed at the lower end of the body (20) and contacted with and operated by the hood plate (40), and a descending limit switch (34B) disposed at the inside of the body (20) and contacted with and operated by a stepped portion(32) of the elevating portion(30).
6. The elevating-type kitchen range hood according to any one of claims 1 to claim 5, further comprising a hairy portion (M) disposed at the lower end of the body (20) and having a predetermined width and length toward the through- hole (21) at the inside thereof.
