Abstract

The invention relates to a foam mattress (M) which has a lying surface (L), which is predetermined by two longitudinal sides and two transverse sides, and a base surface (G), which is located beneath the lying surface, and also has a layered construction made up of at least two foam layers (1, 2, 3) which meet at an associated boundary surface (4, 5) and of which the foam materials differ in respect of compressive strength. This foam mattress, furthermore, is characterized in that the at least one boundary surface (4, 5) is arranged between the lying surface (L) and the base surface (G) and is configured such that the thicknesses of at least two of the layers (1, 2, 3) change, at least over certain sections, in the direction predetermined by the longitudinal sides.
