Abstract

The invention relates to a carrier unit (1) for holding a solar cell unit (2) which comprises crystalline solar cells (3). Said carrier unit (1) has at least one carrier body (9) which can be arranged on the back of the solar cell unit (2) and which comprises a metal reinforcing structure (12). A transparent plastic potting compound (4) is secured to the carrier body (9), the solar cells (3) being embedded therein. A solar cell module, in addition to the carrier unit (1), has at least one solar cell unit (2) comprising at least one crystalline solar cell (3). The carrier unit and a solar cell module using said unit can be easily installed.
