CYLINDER LOCK
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to a cylinder lock, which can be implemented in the field of the light industry, especially in the field of the locking devices for residential houses, public buildings etc.
BACKGROUND ART
Cylinder locks are known, consisting of a cylinder core rotatably mounted in a casing, having a vertical key channel, in said casing and core being made coaxial bores, in which are mounted springs and a pairs of pins, consisting of a casing pin and a core pin. The insertion depth of at least one core pin into the key channel is reduced relative to the insertion depth of the other core pins. Thus a gap between the core (security) pin and the key profile line is provided when using unauthorized key. Said gap prevents the transmission of cinematic
energy to the core (security) pin in case of burglary actions and respectively makes impossible the unlocking.
A cylinder lock is also known [1], where the counter-burglary effect is reached by means of sophisticated form of the casing pin of the pin pair having limited insertion depth in the key channel, namely the cross section of said casing pin is formed as a regular polygon, having an outer diameter, which corresponds to the diameter of the bore in the casing, thus the insertion depth of said casing pin is limited by the smaller diameter of the relevant core bore. Besides, in order the same counter- burglary effect to be retained with the mounting of the lock at an angle of 180° in one of the pins of the pin pair, having a limited insertion depth in the key channel, at least one magnet is incorporated, whilst the other pin is made of ferromagnetic material. Said cylinder lock has the disadvantage to be a sophisticated structure. A further disadvantage is that the limitation of the path of the polygonal casing pin may result in an interruption of the coupling between the pins in the pin pair with a reduced insertion depth in the key channel when the cylinder lock is mounted at an angle of 180°, which should lead to the necessity a subsidiary element (magnet) to be incorporated in one of the pins and the other pin to be made of ferromagnetic material.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The invention seeks to provide a cylinder lock having an increased protection against burglary by means of simplified technology and non- expensive materials without reducing the possible number of locking combinations.
Iri accordance with the invention, this object is accomplished in a cylinder lock consisting of a cylinder core rotatably mounted in a casing and having a vertical key channel and in said casing and cylinder core coaxial cylindrical bores are made. In each bore are mounted a closing pin and a pair of cylindrical pins, consisting of a casing pin and a core pin, pressed by a spring. The insertion depth of the core pins into the key channel is limited by means of stops. The stops, which limit the path of the core pins, are formed as transitions from bores having greater diameter in the lower part of the core bores to bores having smaller diameter in the upper part of the core bores. Thus all stops are arranged in one plain, passing perpendicular to core bores axis. The core pins, mounted coaxially into the core bores, have respectively an upper part with a smaller diameter relative to the diameter of the lower part and the diameters of the particular parts of the core pins are corresponding to the diameters of the particular parts of the core bores. The insertion depth of
at least one core pin into the key channel is reduced relative to the insertion depth of the other core pins. For that purpose said core pin is modified so that the plain passing through its front part, perpendicular to its axis, lies between the plain in which the stops are arranged and the plain, passing through the front parts of the non-modified core pins, perpendicular to their axis. The parts of the non-modified core pins with a smaller diameter have an equal length.
The cylinder lock in accordance with the invention has a number of advantages, as follows: - the fixation mode of the core pins does not require a special form of the casing pin and a special form of the casing bore; - in the cases when the cylinder lock is mounted at an angle of 180°, the pin pair (core pin- casing pin) having a reduced insertion depth into the key channel remains coupled, thus no necessity exists of using subsidiary elements (magnets and special materials) for the pins.
DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES IN THE DRAWINGS
The invention will now be described by way of examples and with reference to the accompanying in which: Fig. 1 is a partial longitudinal section of the cylinder lock; Fig. 2 is a partial cross section through the coaxial casing bore and core bore.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS
In accordance with the examples shown one preferable embodiment of the invention is shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. The cylinder lock is consisting of a cylinder core 2 rotatably mounted in a casing 1 and having a vertical key channel. In the casing 1 and the core 2 are made cylindrical coaxial casing bores 3 and core bores 4, radially arranged toward the axis of the casing 1 and the core 2, in said bores are mounted closing pins 5 and combinations of cylindrical pin pairs (casing pins 6 - core pins 7 or casing pin 6 - modified core pin 8), said pin pairs being pressed by springs 9. With the present concrete embodiment of the invention the locking combination is performed with one only modified core pin 8, whilst further embodiments may be performed by more than one modified pins. The path of the core pins 7 and the modified core pin 8 is limited by means of stops 10, which are formed as transitions from bores having greater diameter in the lower part of the core bores 4 to bores having smaller diameter in the upper part of the core bores 4, so
that all stops 10 are arranged in a plain C5 passing perpendicular to the axis of core bores 4. The upper parts of the core pins 7 and the modified core pin 8 have a smaller diameter relative to the diameter of their lower parts and the diameters of the particular parts of the core pins 7 and the modified core pin 8 are corresponding to the diameters of the relevant particular parts of the core bores 4. The parts of the core pins 7, having a smaller diameter have ail equal length, thus the front parts of all core pins 7 are arranged in a plain A, passing perpendicular to the axis of core pins 7. The core pin 8 on its part is modified so that the plain B, passing through its front part and perpendicular to its axis is arranged between the plain A and the plain C.
