Abstract

Détecteur (62) de matières particulaires servant à mesurer les matières particulaires présentes dans des gaz d'échappement, ledit détecteur étant disposé entre une catalyseur à trois voies (49) et un silencieux (5) dans un tuyau d'échappement (47), et comportant un catalyseur d'oxydation (71) et un élément électrique chauffant (72) superposés, et une sonde de température (73) mesurant une température du catalyseur d'oxydation (71) et interposée entre la couche d'oxydation (71) et l'élément électrique chauffant (72). La couche d'oxydation (71) contient de l'acide cérique servant d'agent de stockage d'oxygène absorbant l'oxygène contenu dans les gaz d'échappement. Un module de commande moteur (ECU) (51) calcule une quantité de sédiment des matières particulaires des gaz d'échappement en fonction d'une valeur de hausse de température lorsque l'élément électrique chauffant (72) chauffe le catalyseur d'oxydation (71) et d'une valeur cumulée d'une quantité d'air d'admission.
