Abstract
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Führungsdrahteinheit mit einem druckmediumgesteuert versteifbaren Abschnitt (V), der einen Druckkanal zur steuerbaren Erzeugung eines Versteifungsdrucks durch Einleiten eines Druckmediums (11 ) und flexible Versteifungselemente aufweist, die bei Druckbelastung unter Einwirkung des Versteifungsdrucks versteifungserhöhend aneinandergedrückt werden. Bei einer erfindungsgemäßen Führungsdrahteinheit beinhalten die flexiblen Versteifungselemente ein Innenversteifungsschlauchteil und ein dieses umgebendes, radial weniger nachgiebiges Außenversteifungsschlauchteil, wobei unter Einwirkung des Versteifungsdrucks das Innenversteifungsschlauchteil versteifungserhöhend gegen die Innenseite des Außenversteifungsschlauchteils angedrückt wird. Erfindungsgemäß können dem gesteuert versteifbaren Abschnitt distal ein distaler Endabschnitt und/oder proximal ein steifer Abschnitt vorgelagert sein. Im gesteuert versteifbaren Abschnitt kann sich ein mittiger Führungsdrahtkern erstrecken. Verwendung z.B. als Führungsdraht zum Positionieren von medizinischen Kathetern.
