[61] One end of the curling tongs 18 is covered by the elastic connection portion 16.
[62] In this case, when the operation member 13 is transferred forward, the fixing pin 17 separates the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 by a predetermined distance, and the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are supported by the elastic connection portion 16 so as to be easily transferred forward and backward by using the elastic connection portion 16 as a transfer path.
[63] On the other hand, the curling tongs 18 may include a second elastic member 17a which is positioned between the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 so as to open the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 by using an elastic force, as shown in Fig. 3.
[64] As such, the curling tongs 18 including the second elastic member 17a can be easily opened and closed by the second elastic member 17a when the operation member 13 is transferred forward and backward.
[65] The eyelash supporting portion 19 has a comb 21 formed on the surface coming in contact with the eyelash pressing portion 20, the comb 21 shaping eyelashes into a desired pattern. When the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are separated and then caused to come in contact with each other so as to tong eyelashes, the eyelashes are positioned between the teeth of the comb 21 while being spaced at a predetermined space. At this time, when the handle 10 is rolled and lifted in an upper direction of the eyelashes, the eyelashes are curled by the comb 21 (the curl effect).
[66] The container 22 may be empty in order to protect the curling tongs 18 or may contain mascara to be applied on eyelashes. The container 22 is composed of an opening 23, a male screw portion 24, and a blade 25. The opening 23 has a predetermined diameter such that the curling tongs 18 can be easily put in and pulled out. The male screw portion 24 is coupled to the handle 10. The blade 25 serves to remove an unnecessary amount of mascara from the curling tongs 18.
[67] In the above-described mascara container 100 with curling tongs, if the operation switch 11 is moved forward to open the curling tongs 18, eyelashes are caused to be positioned in the space defined by the opened curling tongs 18, and the operation switch 11 is released, the operation member 13 returns to the previous state due to an elastic force of the first elastic member 2, and the curling tongs 18 are then closed to tong and press the eyelashes.
[68] At this time, if the handle is rolled and lifted in the upper direction of the eyelashes, the eyelashes are curled by the curling tongs 18 into a desired pattern.
[69] Hereinafter, the types of the curling tongs 18 which can be applied to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to Figs. 4 to 8. It has been described in the above embodiment that the curling tongs 18 are opened and closed by the fixing pin 17. Without being limited thereto, however, the curling tongs 18 can be opened and closed by the second elastic member 17a.
[70] First Modified Embodiment
[71] Figs. 4 and 5 are vertical sectional view illustrating a first modified embodiment of the curling tongs according to the first embodiment.
[72] As shown in Fig. 4, curling tongs 18 according to the first modified embodiment of the invention are composed of an eyelash supporting portion 19 and an eyelash pressing portion 20. One ends of the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are formed to cross each other around the fixing pin 17 formed therebetween, and are coupled to the front end of an operation member 13.
[73] The eyelash supporting portion 19 has a comb 21 formed on the surface coming in contact with the eyelash pressing portion 20, the comb 21 shaping eyelashes into a desired pattern.
[74] When the operation member 13 is transferred forward, the fixing pin 17 formed in an elastic connection portion 16 separates the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 from each other, which are moved forward by the operation member 13, as shown in Fig. 5.
[75] The elastic connection portion 16 supports the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 such that they can be easily moved forward. Preferably, the front inside of the elastic connection portion 16 is obliquely cut so that the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are easily moved.
[76] If no force is applied to the operation switch 11, the operation member 13 is transferred backward by the first elastic member 12, and the curling tongs 18 are transferred backward by the transfer of the operation member 13 so as to tong and press eyelashes positioned between the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20.
[77] Then, if the handle 10 is rolled and lifted in the upper direction of the eyelashes, the eyelashes are curled by the comb 21.
[78] Fig. 6 is a diagram illustrating another modified example of the curling tongs according to the first embodiment. As shown in Fig. 6, the eyelash pressing portion 20 has a brush 20a formed on a surface which does not come in contact with the eyelash supporting portion 19.
[79] In the mascara container 100 with curling tongs according to the above modified example, eyelashes are curled into a desired pattern by the curling tongs 18 and are then coated with water soluble or oil soluble liquid such as mascara or eyelash tonic, which makes it possible to easily put on an eyelash make-up.
[80] Second Modified Embodiment
[81] Figs. 7 and 8 are vertical sectional view illustrating a second modified embodiment of the curling tongs according to the first embodiment.
[82] As shown in Fig. 7, curling tongs 18 according to the second modified embodiment are composed of an eyelash supporting portion 19 and an eyelash pressing portion 20. By reference to the fixing pin 17, the eyelash supporting portion 19 is formed on the lower side thereof, and the eyelash pressing portion 20 is formed on the upper side thereof. Further, the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are formed in parallel to each other so as to be coupled to the operation member 13.
[83] One ends of the eyelash supporting portion and the eyelash pressing portion are formed with inclined surfaces. Therefore, when the operation member 13 is transferred forward, the curling tongs 18 can be easily opened.
[84] On the surface of the eyelash supporting portion 19, which comes in contact with the eyelash pressing portion 20, a comb 21 for shaping eyelashes into a desired pattern is formed. The eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are supported by the elastic connection portion 16, when the operation member 13 is transferred forward and backward.
[85] When the operation member 13 is transferred forward as shown in Fig. 8, the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are separated from each other, while one ends thereof slide on the fixing pin 17 which is positioned in the front side of the position where the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are in contact with each other within the elastic connection portion 16. Then, the curling tongs 18 are opened.
[86] Preferably, the inside of the front end of the elastic connection portion 16 is obliquely cut so that the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 can be easily moved.
[87] Further, when no force is applied to the operation switch 11, the operation member
13 is transferred backward by the first elastic member 12, and the curling tongs 18 are moved backward by the transfer of the operation member 13 so as to tong and press eyelashes positioned between the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20. [88] When the handle 10 is rolled and lifted in the upper direction of the eyelashes with the eyelashes being held by the curling tongs 18, the eyelashes are curled by the comb 21. Therefore, it is possible to quickly and easily shape the eyelashes into a desired shape.
[89] Meanwhile, the eyelash pressing portion 20 may have a brush 20a formed on a surface which does not come in contact with the eyelash supporting portion 19, as shown in Fig. 6.
[90] Third Modified Embodiment
[91] Figs. 9 and 10 are vertical sectional views illustrating a third modified embodiment of the curling tongs according to the first embodiment.
[92] As shown in Fig. 9, curling tongs 18 according to the third embodiment of the invention are composed of an eyelash supporting portion 19 and an eyelash pressing portion 20. The eyelash supporting portion 19 is coupled and fixed to the front end of the operation member 13, and the eyelash pressing portion 20 is coupled to the front end of the operation member 13 such that the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are parallel to each other by the reference to the fixing pin 17.
[93] The eyelash supporting portion 19 of the curling tongs 18 is formed to be flat, and one end of the eyelash pressing portion 20 is formed with an inclined surface which comes in contact with the eyelash supporting portion 19. Therefore, when the operation member 13 is transferred forward, the curling tongs 18 can be easily opened.
[94] On the surface of the eyelash supporting portion 19, which comes in contact with the eyelash pressing portion 20, a comb 21 is formed, which is used for shaping eyelashes into a desired pattern. When the operation member 13 is transferred forward and backward, the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are supported by the elastic connection portion 16.
[95] When the operation member 13 is transferred forward as shown in Fig. 10, the eyelash supporting portion 19 is moved forward with one side of the elastic connection portion 16 being used as a support, and the eyelash pressing portion 20 is moved forward while sliding on the fixing ping 17 positioned in the front side of the position where the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 come in contact with each other within the elastic connection portion 16.
[96] The elastic connection portion 16 supports the eyelash supporting portion 19 such that the eyelash supporting portion 19 can be moved only in the forward and backward direction without being moved in other directions. Preferably, the inner surface of the front end of the elastic connection portion 16 is obliquely cut so that the eyelash pressing portion 20 can be easily moved.
[97] When no force is applied to the operation switch 11, the operation member 13 is transferred backward by the first elastic member 12, and the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20 are moved backward by the transfer of the operation member 13 so as to tong and press the eyelashes positioned between the eyelash supporting portion 19 and the eyelash pressing portion 20. Accordingly, it is possible to quickly and easily shape eyelashes into a desired pattern by using the curling tongs 18.
[98] Meanwhile, the eyelash pressing portion 20 may have a brush 20a formed on a surface which does not come in contact with the eyelash supporting portion 19, as shown in Fig. 6.
[99] Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to Fig. 11. The descriptions of the same components of the second embodiment as those of the first embodiment will be omitted, and only different components will be described in detail.
