  • the method preferably further comprises setting a timer, e.g. in the network node, when sending the control information.
  • the control information is resent if the timer expires before an acknowledgement of receipt of the control information is received.
  • Embodiments of the present invention may advantageously provide an efficient method for communicating configuration information concerning a data packaging protocol such as PDCP between a network node and a user equipment.
  • the method uses the data packaging protocol signaling itself to transmit the control information, rather than for example using a dedicated control plane signaling protocol such as RRC to configure the PDCP.

Abstract

L'invention concerne une méthode et un appareil de commande des transmissions de données dans un réseau de télécommunications. Dans ladite méthode, des informations de contrôle sont transmises entre un nœud du réseau et l'équipement d'un utilisateur, les informations de contrôle étant associées à la configuration d'un protocole de structuration des paquets de données servant à la communication entre le nœud de réseau et l'équipement de l'utilisateur. Les informations de contrôle sont transmises au moyen du protocole de structuration des paquets de données.
