Abstract

The invention relates to a multifunctional window, door or facade element having a wide casement/leaf frame which, following an electrical or mechanical command, is capable of performing a number of functions, such as opening/closing the casement/leaf, providing shade, providing illumination, providing gas filling in the interspace between the panes or ventilating, wherein a groove in the frame element contains a closing mechanism, and at least the casement/leaf element comprises partially light-impermeable or covered transparent material with optical waveguides, wherein a ventilating channel which can be changed in cross section by the closing mechanism is provided between the frame element and the casement/leaf element, and at least one light source and at least one filter element is provided in the casement/leaf element and/or in the frame element.
