L'invention concerne un pèse-personne sûr et automatique fonctionnant sur piles (1) ainsi qu'un procédé correspondant, le pèse-personne comportant un bloc de piles (2), une table de mesure (3) pour peser une personne, un moyen de traitement (4) et un moyen de déclenchement (5) pour la mise sous tension du dispositif de pesée et le lancement de la pesée, les deux moyens étant accouplés au bloc de piles (2) et la table de mesure (3), un moyen d'identification (6) accouplé au moyen de traitement (4) pour fournir des données d'identification personnelles, et un moyen sans fil (7) accouplé au moyen de traitement (4) pour transmettre automatiquement les données personnelles comprenant les données concernant le poids à un récepteur (8) une fois la pesée terminée.
