Abstract

Ensemble couteau pour utilisation avec lames coupantes fabriquées en matériaux à mémoire de forme. Les lames coupantes peuvent être déployées à l'intérieur d'un espace de disque intervertébral et mises en rotation par rapport à un axe central de l'ensemble couteau pour couper le matériau présent afin de le retirer de l'espace de disque intervertébral. Des lames coupantes avec différentes caractéristiques (telles que longueur de lame, angle de lame coupante, type et localisation des tranchants de lame) sont adaptées pour atteindre différents objectifs à l'intérieur de l'espace de disque intervertébral. Certaines lames coupantes sont prévues pour favoriser le saignement du cartilage et des plaques d'extrémité de corps vertébral et certaines lames coupantes sont prévues pour éviter de provoquer un tel saignement. Des lames coupantes à boucle fermée présentent certaines caractéristiques souhaitables, y compris la capacité de retirer la lame coupante entière de l'espace de disque intervertébral après une rupture de la lame. Des modèles de dentelure sont décrits y compris un modèle de dentelure qui fait usage de dentelures trapézoïdales.
