Description

Description
A SUPPORT FOR FISHING ROD
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a fishing tackle, and more particularly, to a support for a fishing rod used for mounting a fishing rod at rocks on seashore, which is firmly installed on the rocks on the seashore, thereby causing the fishing at the rocks on the seashore, requiring a long time, to be more convenient and stable. Background Art
[2] The fishing requires a long time work, so that many tackles are required for stable fishing for a long time.
[3] In general, the fishing is classified into fresh- water fishing and sea fishing, wherein the sea fishing needs more tackles than the fresh- water fishing.
[4] Since fishes are stronger and the influence of waves is larger in the sea compared with the fresh water, it is very important to firmly install a support for a fishing rod to rocks on the seashore so that the fishing is stably performed.
[5] In order to install the support for a fishing rod, hitherto, a slug of lead that is a relatively soft metal is hit and mashed using a hammer caused to be fixed into a gap or groove in the rocks on the seashore, and then a tip at the lower end of the support is driven into the slug of lead inserted into the gap in the rocks by means of a hammer, so that the support is firmly fixed into the gap of the rocks by the slug of lead. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[6] However, a conventional work of installing the support for a fishing rod at rocks on the seashore has a contrary effect of driving away fishes since the support should be hit by means of a hammer and driven into a gap of the rocks. In particular, when withdrawing from the fishing, a lot of lead is not retrieved but left in the gap of the rocks, thereby destroying the nature and contaminating the seashore.
[7] In addition, when a fishing point is desired to be moved, there are problems in that it is possible not to promptly move the fishing point and the installation spot is seriously limited due to the topography.
[8] The present invention is conceived to solve the aforementioned problems. An object of the present invention is to provide a support for a fishing rod, which is securely and closely supported in a gap of the rocks by a springly post means to have pulling force, and also firmly supported while a holding means dynamically cooperates with the springly post means. Technical Solution [9] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a support for a fishing rod, comprising: a seating means having a base for placing a fishing rod thereon; an angle control means having a connection member coupled with the base of the seating means by means of a pivot, the connection member controlling the angle of the fishing rod in vertical and horizontal directions; a springly post means comprising a shaft with an upper end coupled with the connection member and a lower end provided with a pivot wedge to be inserted and fixed in a positioning gap and generating tensile load; and a holding means comprising a tripod body fitted around the shaft to support the shaft against the tensile load of the springly post means and tripod legs coupled to the tripod body and having adjustable length and angle to the shaft.
Advantageous Effects
[10] Pivot wedges of a springly post means and tripod legs of a holding means dynamically cooperate with each other to firmly support a fishing rod, whereby a support for a fishing rod of the present invention may firmly support a fishing rod against external force applied in any direction to allow the fishing to be stably performed. Particularly, the present invention can be easily, simply and firmly installed at any place if there is a suitable gap, and can be simply dissembled when finishing and withdrawing from the fishing, thereby being easily used. [17] In the present invention, the angle control means includes: a connection member having support units integrally formed at both sides of an upper portion thereof so that the base is coupled thereto by means of the pivot to be pivotable in a vertical direction, and a boss integrally formed at a center of a lower portion thereof so that the shaft of the springly post means is inserted into the boss to be pivotable in a horizontal direction; a vertical angle control screw coupled to one side of the connection member so that a screwed leading end of the vertical angle control screw may protrude, the vertical angle control screw supporting a side of a bottom of the base, which is vertically pivoted, to control a vertical angle thereof; and a horizontal angle control screw to be screwed through an outer peripheral surface of the boss of the connection member to fix the shaft or to release it from the base.
[18] Further, in the present invention, the springly post means includes: a shaft around which a compression spring providing elastic force is fitted; a depth control knob screwed to a depth setting screw in an upper side of the shaft; a pair of pivot wedges, each of which is formed in an eccentric cam shape and pivotably coupled to a lower end of the shaft by means of a pivot; a twisted coil springs interposed between the pivot wedges to provide twisting elastic force in a direction in which the pivot wedges extend; a pair of pulling wires, each having a pulling rod for pulling and rotating the corresponding pivot wedge; and a pulling handle for pulling the pulling wires upward.
[19] In the present invention, the pivot wedges are installed in two pairs at both sides of the lower end of the shaft, and simultaneously rotated by means of the pulling handle.
[20] Further, the pivot wedges include protrusions, which are provided on inside surfaces of the pivot wedges coupled to each other, to which both ends of the twisted coil spring are caught, and which serve to limit their rotation, and concavo-convex portions provided on eccentric pivoting circumference surfaces of the pivot wedges to reinforce a frictional force.
[21] In the present invention, the holding means includes: a shaft; a depth setting knob coupled to a depth setting screw formed on the shaft; a tripod body operating in close contact with a lower end surface of the depth setting knob and slidably fitted around the shaft; three tripod legs hinged to the tripod body to control their spreading angles; and angle control knobs, each of the angle control knobs being screwed through an upper portion of the tripod body and brought into contact with a front end of each tripod leg to control the spreading angle thereof.
[22] Furthermore, the tripod leg of the holding means has a length control screw portion, through which an upper rod and a lower rod of the tripod leg are screwed with each other to independently control a length thereof. Mode for the Invention
[23] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[24] Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of the present invention, which is in an assembled state, and Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of Fig. 1.
[25] The present invention includes a seating means 100 for mounting a fishing rod 500 thereon, an angle control means 200 for controlling an angle of a base 110 of the seating means 100 in horizontal and vertical directions, a springly post means 300 for providing a tensile load by means of pivot wedges 350, each of which has a lower end inserted and fixed into a gap of rocks on seashore, and a holding means 400 having tripod legs 420 to provide support force in correspondence to the tensile force of the springly post means 300.

[38] The pivot wedges 350 are installed at both sides of the lower end of the shaft 310 in pairs, and are simultaneously rotated by means of the pulling handle 390. [39] The holding means 400 includes a depth setting knob 340 fitted around the shaft
310 and fastened thereto to provide support force in correspondence to the tensile load of the springly post means 300, a tripod body 410, and tripod legs 420 coupled to the tripod body 410 to have adjustable length and angle to the shaft 310. [40] The depth setting knob 340 is screwed to a depth setting screw 320 formed on the shaft 310, whereby the position of the depth setting knob 340 is set on the shaft 310 by the rotation of the depth setting knob 340. [41] The tripod body 410 is slidably fitted around into the shaft 310 and operates in close contact with a lower end surface of the depth setting knob 340. [42] The tripod legs 420 are hinged to the tripod body 410 so that a spreading angle of the tripod legs 420 can be controlled. [43] Each of the tripod legs 420 of the holding means 400 has a length control screw portion 423, through which an upper member 421 and a lower member 422 are screwed with each other, thereby independently controlling the lengths of the respective tripod legs 420. [44] In addition, there are provided angle control knobs 430, each of which is screwed through an upper portion of the tripod body 410 and is in contact with a leading end of the tripod leg 420 to control the spreading angle of the tripod leg 420. [45] The operating effects of the support for a fishing rod according to the present invention will be explained. [46] The present invention relates to a support for a fishing rod wherein a springly post means 300 and a holding means 400 cooperate with each other to firmly support the fishing rod. [47] Figs. 3 and 4 are front views showing operating states of the present invention, in which Fig. 3 shows a normal state and Fig. 4 shows that the pulling handle is pulled. [48] According to an operating state of the springly post means 300 that is a major part of the present invention, if the pulling handle 390 is pulled upward, the compression spring 330 is compressed and at the same time the pairs of pivot wedges 350 pivot on the pivot 360 by means of the pulling wires 380 and the pulling rod 381, whereby the eccentric cam-shaped pivot wedges 350 are shrunken as shown in Fig. 4.
[49] At this time, the ends of each twisted coil spring 370 are caught to the protrusions
351 formed on the inside surfaces of the pivot wedges 350 coupled to each other, so that the twisted coil spring is deformed. Thus, a restoring force due to the elastic force is exerted on the pivot wedges 350, whereby the pivot wedges 350 always have the elastic force, which tends to rotate the pivot wedges 350 in the spreading direction.
[50] Fig. 5 is a view showing a state where the present invention is fixed into a gap of rocks for use, and Fig. 6 is a perspective view showing that the support according to the present invention is installed to the rocks on the seashore and a fishing rod is installed thereto for use.
[51] According to the present invention, after selecting a spot where a gap is suitably formed in rocks on seashore, in order to set up the depth of the springly post means 300 in consideration of the depth of the gap in the rocks on the seashore and the surroundings thereof, the depth setting knob 340 is rotated to set up the suitable depth so that the pivot wedges 350 of the springly post means 300 can be firmly fixed.
[52] In addition, the tripod legs 420 of the holding means 400 are spread at a suitable angle, and then the angle control knobs 430 screwed to the upper portion of the tripod body 410 are rotated so that the tripod legs 420 are fixed at suitable angles.
[53] Further, the lower member 422 of each tripod leg 420 is rotated for the tripod leg
420 to have a suitable length so that the support can rightly stand to conform to a shape of the rocks.
[54] In a state where the adjustment is completed as mentioned above, if the pulling handle 390 is pulled upward as shown in Fig. 3, the pulling wires 380 are pulled to eccentrically rotate the pivot wedges 350, so that the pivot wedges 350 are shrunken as shown in Fig. 4. In such a state, if the pulling handle 390 is released after the pivot wedges 350 are tightly inserted into the gap of the rocks, the pivot wedges 350 are spread due to the elastic force of the twisted coil springs 370, thereby being tightly fitted and fixed into the gap of the rocks.
[55] At this time, the concavo-convex portions 352 formed on the eccentric pivoting circumference surfaces of the pivot wedges 350 makes the pivot wedges 350 be fixed more firmly.
[56] The tripod legs 420 of the holding means 400 and the pivot wedges 350 of the springly post means 300 dynamically cooperate with each other to provide the strong support force, the present invention can serve to firmly support the fishing rod 500 mounted on the seating means 100. [57] When finishing and withdrawing from the fishing, if the pulling handle 390 is pulled upward after the fishing rod 500 is removed from the seating means 100, the pivot wedges 350 are rotated and shrunken as in the installation process, thereby being easily released from the narrow gap of the rocks and binge easily separated.
[58] Although a plurality of example aspects and embodiments are explained above, it would be apparent to those having ordinary skill in the art that there may be many changes, substitutions, additions and sub-combinations. Thus, the appended claims are intended to include all of the changes, substitutions, additions and sub-combinations within the true scope of the claims.
