Abstract

Flowerpot securing device (20) comprising a threaded rod (16), two hinged arms (18B, 18C) that can be folded onto the threaded rod to enable them to pass through a hole drilled in the bottom of the flowerpot and open once through the hole and a nut (18A) in engagement with said hinged arms for screwing onto the threaded rod, the device also comprising a plate (10) fixed by an internal face to one end of the threaded rod while its opposite planar face has an adhesive means (12) to enable it to be bonded to a support.

Description

FIXING DEVICE FOR FLOWER POT

Field of the invention

The present invention relates to the field of fasteners and more particularly relates to a fixing device for flowerpot in order to protect it from wind blows.

Prior art

It is well known that flowerpots of all shapes, placed outdoors, including on a balcony, terrace or blooming a tomb are sensitive to the wind and it is common to find them backwards. Many solutions have been considered to avoid this reversal. Unfortunately, these solutions are not satisfactory, especially because of their size, their lack of aesthetics or because they integrate poorly with the usual materials of potting.

Object and definition of the invention

The present invention proposes to overcome these disadvantages with a fixing device for flowerpot that adapts to most pots and saucers market and does not change their appearance. An object of the invention is also to provide a device that can be fixed and dismounted in a simple manner and very quickly. Another object of the invention is to allow rapid bagging for sale in blister in a space-saving presentation in sales or storage locations.

These objects are achieved by a fixing device for a flowerpot having a threaded rod, two articulated arms foldable on said threaded rod to allow their passage through a hole drilled on the bottom of the flowerpot and their deployment once said hole through and a nut in taken with said articulated arms and screwed onto said threaded rod, characterized in that it further comprises a plate fixed by one face to one end of said threaded rod and of which an opposite plane face is provided with an adhesive means to allow its collage on a support. Thus, the device of the invention can be fixed by simply gluing on any support and the umbrella system allows a quick mounting of the pot on its support, without any tools, the pot is empty or full.

Said adhesive means may according to the embodiment envisaged be a single layer of adhesive, a peelable single-sided adhesive previously bonded to said opposite face of said platen or a double-sided adhesive whose first face is bonded to said opposite face of said platen and a second face is intended to be glued to said support.

Said first and second faces of the adhesive may be separated by a layer of foam to guard against unevenness of the support.

Said platen may comprise on said inner face protuberances (preferably at least three in number) to ensure free flow of water from said bottom of the pot.

According to the embodiment envisaged, said plate can be fixed to said threaded rod removably and comprise a central orifice intended to receive an end of said threaded rod, said central orifice having a polygonal shape and the same dimension as said rod end threaded that it is intended to receive, or said threaded rod may be formed of two parts articulated to one another and held in place by a ferrule.

The present invention also relates to the assembly formed by the aforementioned fixing device, the flowerpot and its support.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT The invention consists in proposing an assembly improving the wind resistance of a flowerpot. This set consists of a saucer, forming a reserve of water and a fixing device for securing this saucer to the flowerpot.

A fixing device according to the invention is illustrated in perspective in FIG. 1. It comprises a flat plate 10 comprising an adhesive film 12 allowing attachment to a support 14, a threaded rod 16 extending from the plate, a reversible pin 18 umbrella-type, tilting or expansion to secure the flowerpot 20. This device is removable in several parts to facilitate its packaging and is designed to adapt to all types of pots and supports. Several dimensions for the device are nevertheless possible.

The plate makes it possible to fix the fixing device to any plane support. This support will typically be a flowerpot saucer whose dimensions are larger than those of the pot so as to increase the support polygon and therefore the wind resistance, but we can also consider other flat supports (eg board ) or a direct attachment to the floor, a balcony, a gravestone, etc.

The plate consists of a simple metal plate or plastic advantageously circular (without this form is limiting). The adhesive film may consist of a single layer of adhesive deposited on the outer surface (or outer face) of the plate at the time of bonding to the support or may already be present on this surface in the form of a single-sided adhesive coated a peelable protective film or even in the form of a double-sided adhesive whose one side is bonded to this outer face of the plate and whose other side can simply fix this plate to its support after removal of the film peelable protection covering this other face. The outer surface of the plate will be chosen according to the strength of the adhesive, which guarantees a resistance proportional to its surface, generally expressed in kg / cm 2. This gives a solid fixing means of the plate to its support. The plate is advantageously provided with protuberances 22 on its upper surface (or inner face) to facilitate the passage of water between the pot and the support. To ensure perfect placement of the plate, these protuberances are preferably at least three in number.

The two sides of the double-sided adhesive are optionally separated by a thin foam support to guard against flatness defects of the support (terracotta saucer for example). The plate which is integral with the threaded rod in the embodiment of Figure 1, can also be detached from this threaded rod. In the embodiment of FIG. 3, the plate is provided with a central hole 10A of the same polygonal shape (for example square or hexagonal) and dimension (with a close fitting clearance) that one end of the threaded rod provided with then a head 16A that it is intended to receive (Figures 3A and 3B). In an alternative embodiment of Figure 3, one can also practice in the plate a non-opening hole provided with a single thread for receiving the end of the threaded rod or simply to drill a smooth hole, a lock nut subject then the threaded rod on the platen. In the embodiment of Figure 4, the rod is made in two parts 16B, 16C articulated at its base, one of which is raised or lowered to allow folding the plate against the rod (Figure 4A). When in its vertical position of use, a ferrule 24 which can be screwed then allows to maintain it in this position. This solution facilitates bagging or blistering of the product.

For conventional pots, a threaded rod diameter of 3 to 5 mm is perfect. For large pots, larger diameters are possible.

As shown in FIG. 1A, the umbrella-type peg or the like which is simply screwed by its nut 18A at the end of the threaded rod opposite the plate is a known component comprising on the one hand two arms (or tabs 18B, 18C) articulated with springs 18D, 18E, foldable on the threaded rod to allow their passage through the hole drilled on the bottom of the flowerpot and their deployment once the through hole, the nut 18A for moving the articulated arms on along the threaded rod and, as a stop member, to prevent their rotation when the arms are tight against the bottom of the pot. The mounting of the fastening device of the invention is illustrated in Figures 2A and 2B. It is carried out very simply by introducing the device through the central hole 2OA pierced on the bottom of the pot, the articulated arms unfolding once inside the pot. It is not enough then to screw the ankle to adjust the pot against the support. This screwing can be done from the inside of the pot with an empty pot or from the outside (by turning then the plate or the pot, the arms being held fixed because of the presence of the earth in the pot) with a pot filled. Beforehand, the platinum will have been subjected to the chosen support. Simply remove the protective film of the adhesive (or deposit a layer of glue on the plate) and stick the plate on its support, for example a saucer forming water reserve (Figure 2B). Disassembly is performed by the reverse process (unscrewing of the ankle), the protective device can be reused in case of destruction of the flower pot. Thus, the fixing device according to the invention, in addition to being easily mounted by any person in a few moments, has many other advantages, in particular: it has a reduced cost because it is composed from a few components very economical, it has a weight and a small footprint and is therefore easy to store in a warehouse or store, it is removable, it does not compromise the function of water circulation through the central hole drilled on the bottom of the pot and it does not change the buying habits of the consumer or the aesthetics of the pot and its support.

But also and above all, it is adaptable to all types of flower pots, all types of saucers and more generally any support. Indeed, there is a large variety of pots but almost all have a central hole. There are also many varieties of saucers and, depending on the degree of wind resistance desired, we can choose saucers more or less heavy and more or less wide. For resistance maximum, we may wish an anchoring even heavier and stronger than a saucer, that is to say a direct attachment to an infrastructure.

Claims

1. Fixation device for flowerpot (20) having a threaded rod (16; 14B, 16C), two articulated arms (18B, 18C) foldable on said threaded rod to allow them to pass through a hole (20A) drilled on the bottom of the flowerpot (20) and their deployment once said hole through and a nut (18A) engaged with said articulated arms and screwable on said threaded rod, characterized in that it further comprises a plate (10) fixed one face to one end of said threaded rod and of which an opposite planar face is provided with an adhesive means (12) to allow its bonding on a support.

2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said adhesive means is a layer of glue.

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said adhesive means is a peelable single-sided adhesive previously bonded to said opposite face of said plate or a double-sided adhesive whose first face is bonded to said opposite face of said plate and a second face is intended to be glued to said support.

4. Device according to claim 3, characterized in that said first and second faces of the adhesive are separated by a layer of foam to guard against defects in the flatness of the support.

5. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said plate has on said inner face protuberances (22) to ensure free flow of water from said bottom of the pot.

6. Device according to claim 5, characterized in that said protuberances are at least three in number.

7. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that said plate is fixed to said threaded rod so that removable and has a central orifice (1OA) for receiving an end (16A) of said threaded rod.

8. Device according to claim 7, characterized in that said central orifice has a polygonal shape and the same dimension as said threaded rod end that it is intended to receive.

9. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that said threaded rod is formed of two parts (16B, 16C) hinged to one another and held in place by a ferrule (24).

10. Flowerpot stabilizer assembly comprising:

- a flower pot (20) having a central hole (20A) pierced on its bottom,

a support (14) for supporting said flowerpot, and

a device for fixing said flowerpot on said support comprising a threaded rod (16; 16B, 16C), two articulated arms (18B, 18C) foldable on said threaded rod to allow them to pass through said central hole and their deployment once; said crossed central hole and a nut (18A) engaged with said articulated arms and screwed onto said threaded rod, characterized in that said fixing device further comprises a plate (10) fixed by one face to one end of said threaded rod and an opposite planar face is provided with an adhesive means to allow its bonding on said support.

11. The assembly of claim 10, characterized in that said adhesive means is a layer of glue.

12. The assembly of claim 10, characterized in that said adhesive means is a single or double-sided adhesive.

13. The assembly of claim 10, characterized in that said support is a saucer (14) forming a water reserve for said flowerpot.

14. The assembly of claim 10, characterized in that said support is a flat surface of a fixed structure.
