Description
"DISPOSAL INTRODUCED TO A KIT FOR AN INTELLIGENT AUTOWlATiC AND HYGIENICALLY
DESINFECTION OF ODONTOLOGICAL BASINS"
It has the objective of executing intelligent automatic and hygienicaily disinfection of odontological basins, promoting significant savings of water and performing a true disinfection, as necessary and required.
Savings of about 90% of the water used in conventional systems.
The present equipment was planned and built to convert the conventional system for cleaning odontological basins, in an automatic and intelligent system for a hygienicaily disinfection promoting significant savings about 90% of the water used in the conventional system.
It concerns of equipment endowed with components and specifics means which allows an easy installation in any kind of available equipments, independently of model or maker.
The kit is constituted by a rigid plastic box of 17 X 15 X 9, 5 cm. Where its components are installed; and integrated linked to a disinfection module, also constituted by a rigid plastic box of 10 X 10 X 6,2 cm, with its respective components: a deposit for the disinfectant and dosing and injecting equipment in water for the basin.
Description of the components: O-Metallic connection for the water inlet. 1 -Tubular piece T shaped with one inlet and two outlets. In the inlet there is a thread connection (O) and in one of the outlets it is a thread with a solenoid valve (3) and in the other a Vz inch stop valve (2).
2 - Valve from the alternative circuit, with the actuating head placed outside the box, This valve is connected by means of a
flexible hose (silicone) (9E) to an inlet of the tubuiar piece (8) in a Y shape, constituting the alternative circuit which normally remains closed; it will be opened only in case of failure of any component or lack of energy. 3- Solenoid valve with important resources - a piece for the water pressure regulation (A) and (B), a piece which permits access to the filter, for cleaning or its substitution without the need to remove from the set.
Obs.: The pressure regulator component is important for the efficient cleaning of the basins, in order to adequate the solenoid vaive to the ideal parameters for which it was designed.
The solenoid valve is connected by means of a flexible hose (silicone) (9F) to the other inlet of the tubular piece (8) which directs the water to the basin through the original hose from the equipment.
4 - Intelligent automatic electronic circuit, integrated with a timer with the following resources: .
(C) button for the regulating the photocell wideness of range (D) integrated timer to regulate the duration of the water flow to the basin.
The electronic circuit has also the function of a intelligent self cleaning, promoted through the integration with the timer and the photocell, which determines the variable operations whenever recognizing the need for it; example given: when the patient is spitting the water flow is automatically opened and remains during all the time of this action; when spitting is over the equipment keeps the water flow for 6 or 7 seconds more to confirm the hygienically disinfection. Obs.: After several analysis and tests, it was concluded that the mean duration of the spitting act is of about 6 to 7 seconds. However, if the patient requires to spit in a continuous manner for more than 18 seconds, the equipment is programmed also to
increase the water flow of about 50% during this time. This is because it is evident since in a longer spitting time more residues are throw out in the basin, which will require a more adequate disinfection in this circumstance. 4.1 - Energy fount protected against voltage variations and automatic adjust for 110 or 220 volts.
5 - Socket and connecting cable for electricity.
6 - Photocell - electronic device which emits an infrared ray invisible for human eye when meets an obstacle (patient head during spitting) , reflects and is captured by the device , which sends a signal for the integrated electronic circuit which transforms it in an electric pulse, which is sent to the solenoid valve in order to operate the opening of the water flow to the basin.
Obs.: The photocell is attached by means of a brace in the stick which supports the original light focus from the equipment, with the focus directed to a region placed at 20 cm above the basin center (place occupied by the patient head during spitting).
Obs.: Photocell regulation is made by a button placed in the integrated electronic circuit. (13) Disinfection Module - constituted by a reservatory (22) for the disinfectant with replenish lid (19), orifice for internal-external pressure equilibrium (20) and a dosing and injector mechanism of product to the water liberated by the solenoid valve to the basin, promoting the necessary hygienically disinfection. This mechanism is constituted by two 1/8 inches bends with the respective connections, installed one in the support of the disinfectant reservatory 18) and the other in the piece installed in the outlet of the solenoid valve to the basin. (15). In the first it is connected a plastic tube (21) of 1/8 inches attached in the basis of the internal part of the 4/5 reservatory (22). These bends are interconnected by a transparent plastic hoses (16) thus permitting to visually monitor the disinfectant level.
The inferior part bend connects inside the kit box in a metallic tubular form piece 40/16 .forming a square angle (15) inserted in the middle of the section outlet from the plastic bend (14) in a thread connection of the solenoid valve outlet, in the same direction of the water flow to the basin. In the connection of this bend a mini valve is placed (17) for when the solenoid valve interrupts the water flow do not permit the reflux of the water which remains in the basin hose, back to the reservatory.
7 - Connecting cable from the energy source with the electronic circuit and with the solenoid valve.
8 - Tubular piece Y shaped, which receives water from two inlets and direct it to the outlet to the basin.
9 - Flexible connecting hose (silicone).
10 - Holes for fixation screws from the supports for the box to be installed at the side of the basin, or at the side of the original command module from the odontological equipment on the floor.
11 - Supports for the fixation of the kit in the basin basis.
12 - Piece for the fixation of the photocell in the stick that supports the light focus. 13 - Disinfection module.
14 - Plastic bend with a 1/8 inches injector in the outlet of the solenoid valve.
15 - Metallic bend 1/8 inches connection of the injector with bend plus metallic connection. 16 - Silicone hose of 1/8 inches to connect the bends.
17 - Non return valve.
18 - A 1/8 inches bend connected to the basis of the reservatory.
19 - Removable lid for filling the. reservatory. 20 - Orifice (VT) mm for pressure equilibrium.
21 - Plastic hose of 1/8 inches attached to the reservatory basis and connected to the bend (18).
22 - Disinfectant reservatory.
23 - Orifices for the interconnection of the modules and the respective lids.
By the advantages which are offered by the KIT FOR AN INTELLIGENT AUTOMATIC AND HYGIENICALLY DESINFECTION
