Abstract

The invention relates to a backup circuit comprising at least one charge storage device (5, 7) that is connected to a reference potential by means of a first terminal while being connected to a tie point (4) between a power supply unit (1) and a consumer unit (2) with the aid of a second terminal. A transistor (3) is provided between the power supply unit (1) and the tie point (4) while the base and the emitter of the transistor (3) are interconnected. The transistor (3) minimizes a leakage current in the direction of the power supply unit (1) in a backup phase.
