Abstract

A securement- or securing-related device (1) adapted for co-action with a load-supporting carrier belt, wherein the device includes a bobbin means (3), which is adapted for co-action with said carrier belt and which has the form of a bobbin unit that comprises two mutually parallel and mutually spaced cylindrical supportive surfaces (4a, 4b). The device includes means (11) for moving the bobbin unit (3a) from a first setting position to a second setting position, in which the bobbin unit is pivotally or rotatably mounted. A first remote control means (11) is adapted to cause the bobbin unit (3a) to move from said first setting position to said second position and vice versa. A second remote control means (12) is adapted to cause the bobbin unit to rotate or swing between end-wall connecting portions from a position, in which carrier belt sections can be moved readily in relation to the cylindrical supportive surface, to a position, in which the carrier belt section close to or adjacent to said bobbin can be wound around said cylindrical supportive surfaces, and vice versa.

Description

TITLE OF THE INVENTION: A SECURING-RELATED DEVICE.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates generally to a so-called "securing-related device", and more particularly to such a securiπg-related device, which is adapted for co-action with a load-supporting carrier belt.
More specifically the present invention relates to a secυring-related or securement- related device, which includes a so-called bobbin means or unit, which is designed for co-action with the carrier belt and which comprises two mutually parallel and mutually spaced cylindrical support surfaces, which are each affixed to a respective one of two end-wall portions of said and its bobbin means.
The bobbin means shall be rotatable or pivotable arranged relative to connecting end -wall portions of a housing or a casing, and the device shall include means for moving the bobbin means from a first fixed setting, relative to said end-wall portions, in which the carrying belt co-acts with one of said cylindrical support surfaces so that the carrier belt can be readily displaced relative to said support surface, and to a second setting, in which the bobbin unit is pivotal relative to the connecting end-wall portions of the housing or casing.
This pivotal action of the bobbin unit therewith creates conditions for enabling sections of a carrier belt close to or adjacent to the bobbin to be wound up around said two cylindrical support surfaces and for enabling the bobbin unit to be moved back to said first fixed setting, and vice versa, when the bobbin unit and the carrier-belt sections are in a mutually co-ordinated state. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Several different embodiments of methods, devices and constructions related to this particular technical field and its nature are known to the art,
Figure 1 of the accompanying drawings is showing a perspective illustration of an earlier known securing-related device, which is solely manually operated and which comprises a so-called bobbin means, in the form of a bobbin unit, that comprises two mutually parallel and mutually spaced cylindrically formed support surfaces, which are firmly mounted to each end-wall portion of the bobbin unit.
The earlier standpoint of this technique, with solely by a hand operated device, will be described more in detail and more precisely with reference to the embodiment shown in Figure 1.
Considering the significative features, related to the present invention, it is to be noted that for a remote control related and/or adapted systems are known to the art in many different forms, using conductor or cable related information carrying systems or cable free related information carrying systems, such as a mobile telephone sys- tern or low range reaching communication system, such as a communication system sold under the trade name of "Blue tooth" by Ericsson, Stockholm, Sweden.
These wire adapted information systems and/or wire less adapted information systems are available to the persons skilled in this art in many different embodiments.
Known technique, within this technical field, also contains a device shown and described in the European Patent Application Serial Number 03 396057.8, having a printed publication as EP-1 371 521 -A2.
In this publication it is shown and described a tensioning device for securing a load under tension onto a carrier base.
Such a tensioning device comprises a flexible tensioning means (1), the one end portion thereof is to be arranged in a winch drum unit (2). This flexible tensioning means is arranged to be placed over a load (5) and to be coupled, at the second end portion thereof, to a locking device (4), arranged on the opposite side of said load carrying
Thereafter the flexible tensioning means (1) is arranged to be tightened against the load using a tensioning causing and drive means (3), arranged in the winch drum uni (2).
For the driving of and activation of the tensioning force it is here suggested to use a double-acting, more or less horizontally oriented, piston-cylinder-arrangement (7).
OF THE PRESENT INVENTION ICAL PROBLEWfS
When taking into consideration the technical deliberations that a person skilled in this particular art must make in order to provide a solution to one or more technical problems that he/she encounters, it will be seen that on the one hand it is necessary to realize the measures and/or the sequence of measures that must be undertaken to this end, and on the other hand to realize which means is/are required in solving one or more of said problems, On this basis, it will be evident that the technical problems lis- ted below are highly relevant to the development of the present invention.
When considering the present state of the art, as shown and described above and with reference to the hand operated device, shown and described with reference to the embodiment illustrated in Figure 1 , it will be evident that a technical problem re- sides in realizing the significance of, the benefits associated with and/or the technical measures and deliberations required in creating and forming a securing-related device, particularly such a securing-related device that can be used in connection with a boat-transporting carriage, adapted for heavy boats, and wherewith a load carrying belt or each load carrying belt is co-ordinated, through the medium of said inventive device, with posts or the like that will allow the hull of a boat to be supported by the belt or belts in a suspended state, and therewith create conditions which enable the securing-related device to be manoeuvred or manoeuvrable from a first setting position, in which said end section of a belt co-acts with one of said cylindrical support surfaces in a manner to allow the belt to be readily displaced relative to said support surface, and to a second setting position, in which a bobbin unit is pivotaϋy mounted relative to said housing-related and connecting wall-portions, wherewith said pivoting of the bobbin unit creates conditions for allowing a belt section located close to or adjacent the bobbin to be wound up around the two cylindrical support surfaces, such that when the bobbin unit and said belt section are in a mutually co-ordinated position the bobbin unit is allowed to move back to said first fixed setting position and vice versa, therewith providing a remote control of the device and a bobbin unit related thereto, for instance with an inserted carrier belt section.
Another technical problem resides in the ability to realize the significance of, the advantages associated with and/or the technical measures and deliberations that will be required in providing a first remotely controlled device, that will cause the bobbin unit to move from said first setting position to said second setting position and vice versa.
Another technical problem resides in the ability to realize the significance of, the benefits afforded by and/or the technical measures and deliberations that will be required in providing a second remotely controlled device, that will cause the bobbin unit to pivot or to rotate, between connecting end-wall portions, from a position, in which the load carrying belt can be displaced in relation to one of said cylindrical supporting surfaces to a position, in which a section of the load carrying belt, close to or adjacent to the bobbin means, can be wound around said cylindrical support surfaces and vice
Another technical problem resides in the ability to realize the significance of, the be- nefits afforded by and/or the technical measures or deliberations that will be required in allowing said first remotely controlled means or remote control to consist of an electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically actuable means.
Another technical problem resides in the ability to realize the significance of, the be- nefits that are afforded by and/or the technical measures or deliberations that will be required in enabling said second remotely controlled means to consist of an electrically, pneumatically or hydraufically actuable means. Another technical problem resides in the ability to realize the significance of, the benefits afforded by and/or the technical measures and deliberations that will be required in allowing the first remotely controlled means to consist of an electrically driven motor, whose motor axle is adapted to actuate a lifting arm, co-ordinated with and/or connected to, the bobbin means, via a sprocket wheel.
Another technical problem resides in the ability to realize the significance of, the benefits afforded by and/or the technical measures and deliberations that will be required in allowing a slipping coupling or slipping brake to be connected between the mo- tor axle and said lifting arm.
Another technical problem resides in the ability to realize the significance of, the benefits afforded by and/or the technical measures and deliberations that will be required in allowing said second remotely controlled means to consist of an electrically driven motor, whose motor axle is adapted to actuate the bobbin unit via a sprocket wheel.
A technical problem also resides in the ability to realize the significance of, the benefits associated with and/or the technical measures and deliberations that will be requi- red in allowing a slipping coupling or a slipping brake to be connected between the motor axle and the bobbin unit.
The present invention is based on the earlier standpoint of techniques described in the introduction and particularly on the subject matter described more specifically in Figure 1 , which illustrates a securing-related device, which is adapted particularly for co-action with a predetermined section (not necessary and end section) along a load- supportive carrier belt.
This device includes a bobbin unit, which is adapted for co-action with a chosen section of a carrier belt and which comprises two mutually parallel and mutually spaced cylindrical supportive surfaces, which are affixed to the end-wall portions of the bobbin, wherein the bobbin unit is rotatably mounted in relation to connecting end-wall portions of a housing or casing. The invention is based on the use of means for remotely moving the bobbin unit from a first setting position, relative to said connecting end-wall portions, in which the carrier belt co-acts with one of said cylindrical supportive surfaces such as to allow the belt to be displaced section by section readily in relation to said support surface, and to a second setting position, in which the bobbin unit can be pivoted or rotated relative to said housing-related and connecting end-wall portions for clamping side related belt sections together in such a way that said load may be fixed to and hold by said device without any slipping action,
This pivotal or rotational movement of the bobbin unit is intended in particular to create conditions for enabling sections of the carrier belt close to the bobbin unit to be wound up around said two cylindrical support surfaces and to enable the bobbin unit to be moved back to said first fixed setting position and vice versa, when the bobbin unit and the carrier belt sections are in co-ordinated positions.
With the intention of solving one or more of the technical problems listed above it is particularly proposed, in accordance with the invention, that the known technology shall be supplemented with a first remote control means, that is adapted to move the bobbin unit from a first setting position to a second setting position, and vice versa, and that a second remote control means is adapted to cause the bobbin unit to swing or rotate between connecting end-wall portions, from a position, in which the carrier belt can be displaced readily in relation to said cylindrical support surface, to a position in which any carrier belt sections close to the bobbin unit can be wound around said cylindrical support surface, for a clamping force and vice versa.
By way of an embodiment, that lie within the framework of the inventive concept, it is also proposed that a first remote control means shall consist of an electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically actuable device, and that a second remote control means shall consist of an electrically, pneumatically or hydrauiicaϋy actuable device.
More particularly, it is proposed, in accordance with the invention, that the first remote control means shall consist of an electrically driven motor, whose axle is adapted to actuate a lifting arm, connected to the bobbin unit, via a sprocket wheel. More particularly, it is proposed that a slipping coupling or slipping brake is provided between the motor axle and the lifting arm,
It is also proposed, in accordance with the invention, that the second remote control means consists of an electrically driven motor, whose axle is adapted to cause the bobbin unit to rotate through an angle of, or slightly less than, 360°, via a sprocket wheel.
A slipping coupling or a slipping brake may also be connected between the motor axle and the bobbin unit.
Those advantages that can be considered primarily characteristic of the present in- vention and the significant characteristic features special thereto reside in the provision of conditions with which a securing-related device can be controlled remotely with the aid of a first remote control means, which is designed to cause a bobbin unit to be moved from a first setting position to a second setting position, and vice versa.
With the aid of a second remote control means, connecting to one of the end-wall portions of a housing or a casing, the bobbin unit shall be able to rotate when in said second setting position, from a position, in which the carrying belt and its successive belt sections can be easily displaced relative to one of said two cylindrical support surfaces, to a position in which successive sections of the carrier belt, that lie close to the bobbin unit, can be wound around the cylindrical support surfaces, and vice

An earlier known hand operated securing- or securement-related device and a proposed embodiment of a securing-related device, at present preferred and having or exposing the characteristic features significant of the present invention, will now be described by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which;
Figure 1 illustrates a manually manoeuvrable securement-related device of an earlier known hand operable construction, and where Figures 1A to 1D do illustrate more specifically the securement-related device with reference to the use of a bobbin unit that can be moved from a first setting position to a second setting position, and vice versa, or that can be swung or rotated between connecting end-wall portions of a housing or a casing, from a position, in which sections of a load carrying belt can be readily displaced, relatively to one of several cylindrical support surfaces, to a position in which sections of the carrier belt, arranged close to the bobbin unit, can be wound around two cylindrical support surfaces, and vice versa.
Figure 2 is a perspective view of a securing-related device, according to the present invention, wherein a bobbin unit is shown in a first setting position, and wherein the securing-related device is shown, however in the absence of a carrier belt section.
Figure 3 illustrates the securing-related device, in which the bobbin unit is shown in a second setting position, in which carrier belt sections, close to or adjacent to the bobbin, are capable of being wound around said cylindrical support surfaces; and in which
Figure 4 is another perspective view of the securing-related device, according to Figure 3, with the bobbin unit being positioned in the setting shown in Figure 3.
DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ART TECHNOLOGY ACCORDING TO FIGURE 1
With reference to the accompanying figures, and then particularly to Figure 1 , there is illustrated an earlier known manually operated securing device 1 , which is adapted for co-action with a section of a load supporting carrier belt 2. The device comprises a bobbin means 3, which is adapted for co-action with a section of the load carrying belt and which has the form of a bobbin unit 3a, which comprises two mutually parallel and mutually spaced cylindrical supportive surfaces 4a, 4b, which are fixed in relation to opposing end-wall portions 5 of the bobbin unit.
The bobbin unit 3a is also pivotally or rotatably connected to end-wall portions 6a, 6b of a housing or a casing 8.
The construction illustrated in Figure 1 also includes the use of an element 7, in the form of a lever, which functions to move the bobbin unit 3a by hand from a first fixed setting, shown in Figure 1 B, relative to said connecting end-wall portions 6a. 6b, in which position a section of the carrier belt will co-act with one of said cylindrical supportive surfaces 4a, 4b such as to allow the length of the carrier belt 2, according to Figure 1 B, to be adjusted readily in relation to said supportive surface 4b, and a second setting position (via the mode according to Figure 1C), in accordance with Figure 1 D, in which second position the bobbin unit 3a is pivotal relative to the housing-related end-wall portions 6a, 8b.
The pivotal or rotational action of the bobbin unit 3a creates conditions for allowing a section 2a of the carrier belt, close to the bobbin, to be wound up around said two cylindrical supportive surfaces 4a, 4b, so that when the bobbin unit 3a and said belt section 2a are co-ordinated with the belt section 2a held taut, the bobbin unit 3a can be returned to a setting position, according to Figure 1 B, and vice versa.
DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIfVtENT AT PRESENT PREFERRED It is pointed out initially that we have chosen to use in the following description of an embodiment, that is at present preferred and that includes characteristic features significant of the present invention and illustrated in the figures of the accompanying drawings, special terms and terminology with the primary intention of illustrating the inventive concept of the invention more clearly.
It will be noted, however, that the expressions chosen here shall not be seen as limited solely to the chosen terms in the description but that each term chosen shall be interpreted as also including all technical equivalents that function in the same or at least essentially in the same way so as to achieve or essentially achieve the same purpose and/or technical effect.
Figures 2-4 of the accompanying drawings illustrate schematically and in detail the fundamental prerequisites of the present invention, in which the significant properties or merits of the invention have been concretized through the medium of the following description of an embodiment at present preferred.
Thus, Figures 2-4 illustrate the securement- or securing-related device 1 in different positional settings of a bobbin unit 3a belonging to said device, where parts in Figure 1 , that find direct correspondence in Figures 2-4, are identified by corresponding reference numerals or signs.
The present invention is based on the provision of a first remote control means 11 or a remotely controllable means, which is adapted to cause the bobbin unit 3 to move from a setting position, shown in Figure 2, to a setting position, shown in Figures 3 and 4 and vice versa. This displacement of the bobbin unit is caused by an actuation of a pivotal or rotational lifting arm 10.
The inventive device includes a second remote control means 12 or remotely controllable means, which causes the bobbin unit 3a to swing or rotate between connecting end-wall portions 6a, 6b from a position, in which succeeding sections of the carrier belt (not shown) can be readily displaced relative to one of said cylindrical supportive surfaces to a position in which said belt sections close to or adjacent to the bobbin unit can be wound around said cylindrical supportive surfaces, and vice versa.
In accordance with the present invention the first remote control means 11 , or the second remote control means 12, may comprise an electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically actuable device.
As illustrated in the embodiment exemplified in the drawings, the first remote control means 11 may comprise an electrically driven motor 11a, whose axle is caused to actuate the lifting arm, connected to the bobbin unit, through the medium of a chain (11 d) in co action with a gear housing 11 b and a sprocket wheel 11 d . The lifting arm 10 is pivotally co-ordinated with a shaft 14, the opposite end of which is provided with a holder for the second remote control means 12.
A slipping coupling or slipping brake 15 is connected between the motor axle and the lifting arm 10.
The second remote control means 12 has been given the form of an electrically driven motor 12a, wherein rotation of the axle causes the bobbin unit 3a to pivot or ro- tate, through the medium of a gear housing 12b and a sprocket wheel 12c,
A slipping coupling or slipping brake 13 is coupled between the axle or the gear housing 12b and the bobbin unit 3a.
An endless chain (12d), not shown in the figures, extends between the sprocket wheel 12b and a sprocket wheel 12b'.
One end section of the chain (11d) is fastened to the lifting arm 10, as indicated by reference numeral 10a, and the other end section of the chain is fastened to the arm end, as indicated by reference numeral 10b.
The lifting arm 10 includes an arm portion 10c, which includes a rotation shaft 3a' for pivotal or rotational movement of the bobbin unit 3a through the medium of the means 12 and the chain wheel 2b'.
It will be understood that the invention is not restricted to the illustrated and described exemplifying embodiment there of, and that modifications and variations can be made within the scope of the inventive concept, illustrated in the accompanying claims,
It will be particularly noted that each illustrated unit and/or circuit can be combined with each other illustrated unit and/or circuit within the framework of being able to achieve a desired technical function.

Claims

S 1. A securement- or securing-related device adapted for a co-action with a section of a load-supporting carrier belt, wherein the device includes a bobbin means, which is adapted for a co-action with one or more sections of the load- supporting carrier belt and which has the form of a bobbin unit, which comprises two mutually parallel and mutually spaced cylindrical supportive surfaces, 0 which each affixed to end-wall portions of the bobbin unit, wherein the bobbin unit is pivotally or rotatably connected to end-wall portions of a housing or a casing, and wherein means are provided for moving the bobbin unit and its end-wall portions from a first setting position, relative to said connecting end- waϋ portions of a housing, in which the carrier belt and its associated sections 5 can be displaced readily in relation to said supportive surfaces, and to a second setting position, in which the bobbin unit can be pivoted or rotated relative to said housing-related connecting end-wall portions, wherein pivoting or rotating of the bobbin unit creates conditions for allowing a carrier-belt section, located close to or adjacent to the bobbin unit to be wound up around said two 0 cylindrical supportive surfaces, and wherein, when the bobbin unit and the carrier belt section are in a mutually co-ordinated position, the bobbin unit can be moved back to its first setting position and vice versa, wherein the device is characterized by a first remote control means, which is adapted to cause the bobbin unit to move from said first setting position to said second position and 5 vice versa, and by a second remote control means, which is adapted to cause the bobbin unit to rotate or swing, between said end-wail portions, from a position, in which the carrier belt can be moved readily in relation to the cylindrical supportive surface, to a position in which the carrier belt section, close torn or adjacent to said bobbin can be wound around said cylindrical supportive sur- 0 faces, and vice versa.
2. A device according to claim 1 , characterized in that said first remote control means is comprised of an electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically actuabte means.
3. A device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said second remote control means is comprised of an electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically actuable means.

A securement- or securing-related device adapted for co-action with a section of a load-supporting carrier belt, wherein the device includes a bobbin means, which is adapted for co-action with sections of the carrier belt and which has the form of a bobbin unit, which comprises two mutually parallel and mutually spaced cylindrical supportive surfaces, which are affixed to end-wall portions of the bobbin unit, wherein the bobbin unit is pivotally or rotatably connected to end-wall portions of a housing or a casing and wherein means are provided for moving the bobbin unit from a first setting position, relative to said connecting end-wall portions, in which sections of the carrier belt can be displaced readily in relation to said supportive surfaces, and to a second setting position, in which the bobbin unit can be pivoted or rotated relative to said housing-related connecting end-wall portions, wherein pivoting or rotating of the bobbin unit creates conditions for allowing sections of a carrier-belt, located close to or adjacent to, the bobbin to be wound up around said two cylindrical supportive surfaces, and wherein, when the bobbin unit and the carrier belt section are in a mutually co-ordinated position, the bobbin unit can be moved back to its first setting position and vice versa, wherein the device is characterized by a first remote control means, which is adapted to cause the bobbin unit to move from said first setting position to said second position and vice versa, and by a se- cond remote control means, which is adapted to cause the bobbin unit to rotate or swing, between said end-wall portions, from a position, in which sections of the carrier belt can be moved readily in relation to the cylindrical supportive surfaces, to a position in which sections, of the load-supporting belt, close to or adjacent to said bobbin can be wound around said cylindrical supportive surfaces, and vice versa, that said first remote control means is comprised of an electrically actuable means, in the form of an electrically driven motor, whose axle functions to actuate a lifting arm connected to the bobbin unit, via a chain wheel, and that a slipping coupling or slipping break is coupled between the motor axle and the lifting arm,
9. A device according to claim 8, characterized in that said second remote control means is comprised of an electrically driven motor, whose axle is adapted to cause the bobbin unit to rotate or pivot in co-action with a sprocket wheel,
10. A device according to claim 9, characterized in that a sliding coupling or sliding break is coupled between the motor axle and the bobbin unit,
