Description
Description
SIZER FOR AN ARTIFICIAL NAIL
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to an artificial nail sizer adapted to enable a customer to easily find an artificial nail matching his/her nail size.
Background Art
[2] In general, artificial nails are manufactured with various sizes and shapes in
imitation of human nails of different sizes and shapes.
[3] However, there are not yet accepted standards for classifying artificial nails in the industry. This means that when a customer wants an artificial nail matching his/her nail, he/she must inconveniently try actual products one by one.
[4] Such a practice has a problem in that seals are broken when customers try products.
This increases the possibility that the products will be lost. Therefore, stores are usually furnished with samples so that customers can try them.
[5] In most stores, however, different shapes of artificial nails are irregularly placed in cases. Even when the artificial nails are arranged according to the type and size, they tend to become disordered again after customers try them. Besides the problem of frequent loss of products, it is very difficult to keep the artificial nails in a tidy condition. Furthermore, customers must inconveniently search for specific products one by one.
[6] It is customary to mark the artificial nails with identification numbers regarding their product type or size. When the mark is made on the surface of displayed products, which are usually small, customers have difficulty identifying the products and obtaining the one they desire.
Disclosure of Invention
Technical Problem
[7] Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide an artificial nail sizer having a grip portion for retaining a set of artificial nails separately based on the size of their nail attachment portions, so that a customer can easily compare a group of artificial nails with his/her nails and select a suitable one.
Technical Solution
[8] According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided an artificial nail sizer including a grip portion; a number of connection portions formed on the grip portion; and a number of artificial nails having different sizes, the artificial nails being integrally connected to the connection portions in an order of the sizes so that nail
attachment portions face in an outward direction.
Advantageous Effects
[9] The artificial nail sizer according to the present invention is advantageous in that it can prevent commercial products or samples from being lost, reduces the labor necessary to arrange artificial nails according to their type and size, and enables a customer to easily confirm whether or not a group of artificial nails of interest match his/her nails. As such, the inventive sizer improves the customer convenience and can increase sales.
Brief Description of the Drawings
[10] The foregoing and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings in which:
[11] FIG. 1 is a top view showing an artificial nail sizer according to an embodiment of the present invention; and
[12] FIG. 2 is a sectional view magnifying selected components of an artificial nail sizer according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[13] Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention.
[14] FIG. 1 is a top view showing an artificial nail sizer according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view magnifying selected components of the artificial nail sizer. The artificial nail sizer includes a central grip portion 110 having an approximately rectangular shape with rounded corners; ten connection portions 120 connected to the grip portion 110 (five of them are connected to the left of the grip portion, and remaining five to the right); and ten artificial nails 130 connected to the connection portions 120 according to size, respectively. Nail attachment portions 140 are connected to the artificial nails 130, respectively, so as to attach to nails. The nail attachment portions 140 face away from the grip portion 110.
[15] Those skilled in the art can easily understand that the grip portion 110 may have any shape, such as a circle, a triangle, or a square. However, the grip portion 110 preferably has the shape of a polygon (e.g. square, triangle) so that a group of products, i.e. at least five artificial nails, can be connected to each side. This enables a customer to easily recognize a group of products, which have at least two sizes, with minimum confusion.
[16] The grip portion 110 preferably has a hanging hole 150 so that the corresponding group of products can be hung on a display stand. This enables customers to easily identify them. If necessary, the grip portion 110 may have a magnet so as to attach to
an iron display stand or shelf.
[17] The grip portion 110 may be marked with an identification number or a representative design of the corresponding group of products, based on the shape and size of the nail attachment portions 140 of the artificial nails 130 connected to the grip portion 110. Preferably, the artificial nails 130 have a classification number printed on their upper or lower surface. Although the nail attachment portions 140 of the group of products may have the same size, other portions may have different shapes, i.e. the overall design may vary. Therefore, in order to minimize confusion of customers, portions other than the nail attachment portions 140 preferably have the most typical and representative shape with no design on the upper surface.
[18] Preferably, the grip portion 110 and the artificial nails 130 have a thickness at least three times larger than that of conventional artificial nails, and are made of a material having strength higher than that of synthetic resin, of which conventional artificial nails are usually made, so that the connection portions are not easily broken. In addition, the grip portion 110, the connection portion 120, and the artificial nails 130 are injection-molded as a whole by using a single mold.
Industrial Applicability
[19] As can be seen from the foregoing, the artificial nail sizer according to the present invention is advantageous in that it enables a customer to easily confirm whether or not a group of products of interest match his/her nails, prevents the loss of commercial products or samples, and reduces the labor necessary to arrange the artificial nails according to the type and size. As such, the inventive artificial nail sizer can be widely used in the manufacture and service industries related to nail cosmetics.
Claims
[1] An artificial nail sizer comprising:
a grip portion;
a number of connection portions formed on the grip portion; and a number of artificial nails having different sizes, the artificial nails being integrally connected to the connection portions in an order of the sizes so that nail attachment portions face in an outward direction.
