Abstract
Thresholds for doors are disclosed, which includes a body having a vertical portion and an upper surface portion extending from the vertical portion at a right angle, a stepped portion formed on an upper end of the vertical end in a longitudinal direction, and a locking portion formed on a rear surface of the upper surface portion in a longitudinal direction, in which the threshold is installed to a door of bathroom or porch to prevent water from splashing or overflowing. The threshold includes a body 20 having a vertical portion 11 formed on one side of the body and an upper surface portion 10 horizontally extending from one end of the vertical portion 11, and a stepped portion 12 formed on an upper surface of the vertical portion 11 of the body 20, the stepped portion 12 having the same length as that of the vertical portion 11.
Description
Description THE THRESHOLD
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to thresholds for doors including a body having a vertical portion and an upper surface portion extending from the vertical portion at a right angle, a stepped portion formed on an upper end of the vertical end in a longitudinal direction, and a locking portion formed on a rear surface of the upper surface portion in a longitudinal direction, in which the threshold is installed to a door of bathroom or porch to prevent water from splashing or overflowing.
[2]
Background Art
[3] Generally, thresholds are installed on a lower portion of an entrance of a room, bathroom or porch. In particular, a conventional threshold of the bathroom does not prevent water from splashing or overflowing towards a living room when a user takes a shower or washes in the bathroom. Also, a conventional threshold of the porch does not prevent water from splashing or overflowing towards the living room when the water is used in the porch.
[4]
Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[5] The present invention has been made in view of the foregoing problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide thresholds for doors including a body having a vertical portion and an upper surface portion extending from the vertical portion at a right angle, a stepped portion formed on an upper end of the vertical end in a longitudinal direction, and a locking portion formed on a rear surface of the upper surface portion in a longitudinal direction, in which the threshold is installed to a door of bathroom or porch to prevent water from splashing or overflowing.
[6]
Technical Solution
[7] In order to achieve the above objects, in one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a threshold for doors comprising a body having a vertical portion formed on one side of the body and an upper surface portion horizontally extending from one end of the vertical portion; and a stepped portion formed on an upper surface of the vertical portion of the body, the stepped portion having the same length as that of the vertical portion.
[8]
Advantageous Effects
[9] According to the thresholds of doors, since the stepped portion is formed on the upper surface of the vertical portion, and the locking portion is formed on the rear portion of the upper surface portion, it prevents the water from splashing or overflowing from a bathroom or porch towards a living room.
[10]
Brief Description of the Drawings
[11] The foregoing and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings in which:
[12] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a threshold for doors according to an embodiment of the present invention; and
[13] FIG. 2 is a view illustrating the use state of a threshold according to the present invention. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[14] Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
[15] A threshold for doors according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a body 20 having a vertical portion 11 formed on one side of the body and an upper surface portion 10 horizontally extending from one end of the vertical portion 11, and a stepped portion 12 formed on an upper surface of the vertical portion 11 of the body 20, the stepped portion 12 having the same length as that of the vertical portion 11.
[16] A locking portion 13 is formed on a rear side of the upper surface 10 in a longitudinal direction.
[17] The structure of the threshold will now be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[18] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating the threshold for doors according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a view illustrating the use state of the threshold according to the present invention.
[19] Explaining the threshold according to the present invention with reference to FIGs.
1 and 2, the body 20 has the vertical portion 11 formed on one side of the body, and the upper surface portion 10 horizontally extending from one end of the vertical portion 11.
[20] More specifically, the upper surface portion 10 horizontally extends from one end of the vertical portion 11 at a right angle.
[21] Also, the body 20 is extended in a longitudinal direction to have a certain length.
[22] The stepped portion 12 is formed on the upper surface of the vertical portion 11 of
the body 20, and the stepped portion 12 has the same length as that of the vertical portion 11. [23] The stepped portion 12 is integrally formed on the upper end of the vertical portion
11. The formation of the stepped portion 12 is to prevent water used in a bathroom or porch from splashing or overflowing, since the vertical portion 11 is formed on the front portion. [24] Also, the locking portion 13 is formed on the rear side of the upper surface 10 in a longitudinal direction, so as to prevent the water from splashing or overflowing.
Referring to FIG. 2, it shows the threshold of the present invention installed to the lower portion of a door of a bathroom or porch. [25]
