Description
Device for removing animal droppings
I William Andrew Alexander identity number 7309245165087 make the following claims and assertions in respect of my invention the Muck Mitt.
Technical Held.
The product is applicable to the pet industry and aspects of home care with reference to garden products and hand held tools.
Back Ground.
The traditional method used to perform the task of removing unwanted substances such as animal waste and pet litter has involved the process of moving a bag or bucket or similar receptacle around to remove the substance. This method is either uneconomical, unhygienic or both, as the receptacle is left with residue that is unhygienic. The receptacle is frequently too large for periodic removal and is thus uneconomical. To remedy the economical aspect of the exercise the receptacle is left open for a subsequent repeat removal, this creates an environment conducive to the proliferation of germs and bacteria.
If the receptacle is stored in a bin the waste substance sweats and releases an odor that draws flies this is unhygienic and unpleasant, there is the further threat of contamination when the receptacle is removed from the bin. Considering the close proximity of modern housing the traditional method of waste removal incubates disease or germs.
I have invented an item that solves a number of problems relating to the hygienic, efficient and practical removal of unwanted or undesirable materials; by way of transferring the offending substance directly to a receptacle held and or affixed to a reusable and or disposable item developed for this purpose.
• The item comprises a handle and a shaped section used to hold a receptacle either as an integrated or separate section of the item.
• The item incorporates a gripping or holding mechanism that retains affixes or holds a separate or integrated receptacle for the purpose of receiving, holding or storing waste material.
The gripping mechanism is designed to retain a portion or the whole of the receptacle by exerting a force over a portion or the whole of the receptacles lip, end or edge, be it a receptacle with a punched, perforated, zippered or strung section, or devoid of a punched, perforated, zippered or Strang section or be it a receptacle having one, all of or none the following a punched, perforated, zippered or strung section.
The gripping mechanism is a mechanism that exerts a force in the same way as a damp, cramp, screw, hooking or similar mechanism would and thus can be seen as one or all of these mechanisms in some way means or form.
The receptacle covers or protects the working edges of the item front being exposed to the waste material. The product is designed to nest the tool used to maneuver the unwanted substance into the receptacle. The item has a shaped section designed hang one or both the item and the tool used to maneuver the substance into the receptacle.
The device allows for multiple collections to the same receptacle without the need to use a receptacle for each soiling or individual collection of waste or litter.
Claims
Claims.
The MUCK MlTT invention seeks to make the muck removal process quicker and more hygienic. The MUCK MITT invention ensures that the receptacle is always open when it is required and it is never necessary to use the operator's hands to accomplish this task of holding the bag open, thus substantially lowering the risk of contamination. The MUCK MITT invention places a portion of the invention the ring or hoop area or a part there of in the way of the unwanted substance ensuring that the collection is hassle free and efficient, as the substance can not be moved around in an effort to transfer it to the receptacle for disposal. The invention places the receptacle efficiently for collection.
The MUCK MITT can be taken to the disposal area and the loaded receptacle containing the waste or unwanted substance dropped and closed without having to touch the area of the bag or receptacle that came into contact with thewaste substance. The MUCK MITT invention allows for the use of a number of receptacles for easy and regular disposal of unwanted substances in manageable volumes, in an efficient and hygienic manner.
The Muck Mitt is in essence a button operated device that retains a receptacle in a manner allowing the receptacle to be cleared with a mechanism or device that can be easily manipulated by the operator and this mechanism wilt at the same time allow for easy clearing.
