Abstract

L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé unique et un appareil destinés à communiquer des informations entre deux noeuds, points ou terminaux dans un réseau local sans fil (WLAN), l'intervalle d'écoute de diffusion et/ou de multidiffusion est variable et une signalisation associée étant autorisée entre les deux noeuds, points ou terminaux dans le réseau local sans fil. Les deux noeuds, points ou terminaux comportent un point d'accès (AP) ou un autre noeud ou terminal de réseau approprié et une station (STA) ou un autre noeud ou terminal de réseau approprié dans le réseau local sans fil. L'AP et la STA peuvent indiquer leur capacité à supporter un intervalle d'écoute de diffusion et de multidiffusion souple par utilisation de nouveaux champs dans des trames de réponse de sonde et de balise et dans des trames de demande de (ré)association. Le service de diffusion et de multidiffusion est installé par utilisation d'une signalisation d'installation de service de diffusion et de multidiffusion.
