Abstract

Metal complexes ('compatibilizers') having properties particularly useful for treating and compatibilizing nanomaterials (i.e. carbon nanotubes, nanofibers, nanographite) include metal cations, anionic surfactants, and neutral donor ligands. The treated nanomaterials can be isolated as solid treated nanomaterial and used in further applications were increased dispersion is desirable.
