[1] The present invention relates, in general, to anion generating apparatuses and, more particularly, to an anion generating apparatus for vehicles which is provided in a vehicle to generate anions. Background Art
[2] Generally, interior finishes of the passenger compartments of vehicles are made of plastic or metal and are coated with paint.
[3] However, such interior finishes contain ingredients which are harmful to humans.
Particularly, when the vehicles are exposed to the sun while a vehicle is parked, harmful compounds are secreted due to the increased temperature of the passenger compartments of the vehicles, and are dispersed into the passenger compartments. Therefore, there are problems in that, when users get into the vehicles, the users are exposed to the harmful ingredients.
[4] Furthermore, smoking by a driver tends to harm fellow passengers. As well, in the case of a vehicle having therein an aromatic agent containing alcohol, when a driver drives the vehicle for a long time with the windows closed, due to the smell of the alcohol of the aromatic agent and the lack of fresh air, the driver may enter a condition of clouded consciousness and thus may cause an accident.
[5] In addition, in the case of a public transportation means, for example, in the case of a taxi, fine dust present on many passengers fouls the air inside the vehicle, and, in particular, if the windows are in a closed state and air conditioning is operated in hot weather, such as in the summer, passengers may be uncomfortable due to the spoiled air.
Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[6] Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide an anion generating apparatus for vehicles which receives power from a cigarette lighter jack of a vehicle, so that it does not require a separate charging operation, and which allows a user to freely adjust the direction in which anions are emitted, using a joint unit, which includes a left and right rotating coupling body and a vertical rotating coupling body, and which has light emitting diodes, thus exhibiting an interior decorating effect and reducing eye strain on the user.
[7] Another object of the present invention is to provide an anion generating apparatus
for vehicles in which a head is coated with photocatalyst such as titanium oxide, so that even if the anion generating apparatus is in an off state, the passenger compartment of the vehicle can be sterilized and deodorized by the catalytic action of titanium oxide using ultraviolet rays radiated from the sun, and in which an anion generating unit and a connection body are respectively coated with steel fiber and nano silver, so that the anion generating apparatus is harmless, has increased sterilizing ability, deodorizes the passenger compartment of the vehicle, and improves the health of the user. Technical Solution
[8] In order to accomplish the above objects, the present invention provides an anion generating apparatus to be provided in a passenger compartment of a vehicle to purify air and including a front insertion part to be inserted into a cigarette jack of the vehicle and a rear anion generating part having an anion generating unit. The anion generating apparatus comprises: a head, having a cover, a symbol part and the anion generating unit at an upper position thereof and a head coupling part at a lower position thereof, with a circuit unit, having a light emitting diode, provided in the head; a joint unit coupled to the head and comprising a left and right rotating coupling body and a vertical rotating coupling body, with an upper rotating stopper and a lower rotating stopper provided in the joint unit; and a connection body having at a rear end thereof a body coupling part coupled to the joint unit by a hinge and at a front end thereof a power supply part. Advantageous Effects
[9] According to the present invention, an anion generating apparatus for vehicles receives power from a cigarette lighter jack of a vehicle, and thus does not require a separate charging operation. A user can freely adjust the direction in which anions are emitted using a joint unit, which includes a left and right rotating coupling body and a vertical rotating coupling body. Furthermore, thanks to light emitting diodes, the present invention can exhibit effects of interior decoration and reducing eye strain of the user. As well, because an anion generating unit and a connection body are respectively coated with steel fiber and nano silver, the anion generating apparatus of the present invention is harmless, has increased sterilizing ability, and can deodorize the passenger compartment of the vehicle and improve the health of the user. Moreover, because a head is coated with a photocatalyst such as titanium oxide, even when the anion generating apparatus is in a non-operating state, the passenger compartment of the vehicle is sterilized and deodorized by the catalytic action of titanium oxide using ultraviolet rays radiated from the sun. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[15] Hereinafter, an anion generating apparatus for vehicles according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described herein below with reference to the attached drawings.
[16] FlG. 1 is a perspective view of the anion generating apparatus 50 for vehicles according to the embodiment of the present invention. FlG. 2 is a plan view showing the anion generating apparatus 50 from which a cover 11 has been removed. FlG. 3 is a perspective view of a joint unit 20 of the anion generating apparatus 50. FlG. 4 is an exploded perspective view of the anion generating apparatus 50. FlG. 5 is a view showing the anion generating apparatus 50 when a left and right rotating coupling body 21 and a vertical rotating coupling body 23 of the joint unit 20 are rotated at predetermined angles.
[17] As shown in FIGS. 1 through 5, the anion generating apparatus 50 according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a head 10, the joint unit 20 and a connection body 30. The cover 11, a symbol part 12 and an anion generating unit 13 are provided at an upper position in the head 10. Furthermore, a head coupling part 14 is provided at a lower position in the head 10, and light emitting diodes 16 are provided on a circuit unit 15 inside the head 10.
[18] The cover 11 is coupled to the head 10 through coupling holes 17. The light emitting diodes 16 are constructed such that they can emit various colors of light. Furthermore, another light emitting diode (not shown) is provided in the circuit unit 15 to radiate light to the symbol part 12. This light emitting diode may emit a color of light different from that of the light emitting diodes 16, which are covered by the cover 11.
[19] The joint unit 20 includes at an upper position thereof the left and right rotating coupling body 21, which is coupled to the head coupling part 14 of the head 10 such that the head 10 is rotatable in left and right directions with respect to the left and right
rotating coupling body 21, and includes at a lower position thereof the vertical rotating coupling body 23, which has a hinge 22. Furthermore, an upper rotating stopper 24 and a lower rotating stopper 25 are provided at opposite sides of the hinge 22 in the joint unit 20.
[20] The left and right rotating coupling body 21 of the joint unit 20 allows the head 10 to rotate thereon in left and right directions and, preferably, has left and right rotating stoppers (not shown) such that the head 10 rotates within an angle of 90°. Furthermore, the vertical rotating coupling body 23 allows the head 10 to rotate in a vertical direction. Preferably, the upper rotating stopper 24 and the lower rotating stopper 25 are provided in the vertical rotating coupling body 23 such that the head 10 rotates within an angle of 90°.
[21] Meanwhile, the connection body 30 has on a front end thereof a body coupling part
33, which is coupled to the joint unit 20 by the hinge 22. The connection body 30 further has on a rear end thereof a power supply part 32, through which power is supplied.
[22] Furthermore, the head 10 is made of plastic material and is coated with a pho- tocatalyst. The anion generating unit 13, which is provided in the head 10, is made of steel fiber. The connection body 30 is coated with nano silver.
[23] The operation of the anion generating apparatus for vehicles according to the present invention having the above-mentioned construction will be explained herein below.
[24] First, the power supply part 32 of the connection body 30 of the anion generating apparatus 50 is plugged into a cigarette lighter jack of a vehicle.
[25] Thereafter, when the vehicle is started, power is supplied to the anion generating apparatus 50, which is plugged in the cigarette lighter jack of the vehicle. Then, the anion generating apparatus 50 is operated through the circuit unit provided in the head 10, thus generating anions.
[26] Simultaneously, the light emitting diodes 16, which are provided on the circuit unit
15 of the head 10, emit light, and the light is emitted outside through the cover 11. Furthermore, light is also emitted from the light emitting diode which is disposed under the symbol part 12.
[27] Preferably, the colors of light emitted from the cover 11 and the symbol part 12 are different from each other. Furthermore, it is preferable that the colors of light be selected as colors that exhibit effects of interior decoration and of reducing eye strain of a user.
[28] As well, the present invention is constructed such that the user can appropriately adjust the position of the anion generating unit 12 by rotating the head 10 in left and right and vertical directions using the left and right rotating coupling body 21 and the
vertical rotating coupling body 23 of the joint unit 20.
[29] Here, the left and right rotating coupling body 21 of the joint unit 20 has the left and right rotating stoppers such that the head 10 can be rotated in a left or right direction to a maximum angle of 90° from the initial position thereof, and the vertical rotating coupling body 23 has the upper rotating stopper 24 and the lower rotating stopper 25 such that the head 10 can be rotated in a vertical direction to a maximum angle of 90° from the initial position thereof. Thus, power supply wires, through which power is supplied from the power supply part 32 to the circuit unit 15 of the head 10, are prevented from becoming twisted or entangled.
[30] In addition, because the head 10 is coated with a photocatalyst such as titanium o xide, even if the vehicle is stopped and the anion generating apparatus 50 is turned off, the passenger compartment of the vehicle can be sterilized and deodorized by the catalytic action of titanium oxide using ultraviolet rays radiated from the sun, as in a UV (ultraviolet) lamp. As well, because the anion generating unit 13 and the connection body 30 are respectively coated with steel fiber and nano silver, the health of the user is improved by combined functions, such as sterilization, deodorization and anti-bacterial effects on the passenger compartment. Industrial Applicability
[31] As described above, an anion generating apparatus for vehicles according to the present invention receives power from a cigarette lighter jack of a vehicle, and thus does not require a separate charging operation.
