Brief Description of the Drawings
[10] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a motor with an integral body type of power transmission shaft according to the present invention;
[11] FIG.2 is an exploded assembling view showing the motor with an integral body type of power transmission shaft according to the present invention;
[12] FIG.3 is a sectional view showing the motor with an integral body type of power transmission shaft according to the present invention;
[13] FIG.4 is a perspective view showing the rotors employed in the motor with an integral body type of power transmission shaft according to the present invention; and
[14] FIG.5 is a perspective showing the stators employed in the motor with an integral body type of power transmission shaft according to the present invention. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[15] Now, an explanation on a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be in detail given with reference to attached drawings.
[16] A motor with an integral body type of power transmission shaft according to the present invention includes two stators 2e for generating a magnetic force if an electric current is applied to a coil, two rotors 2c each having a plurality of permanent magnets, a core and a shaft, a motor housing 2f for containing the two rotors 2c and the two stators 2e therein, a power transmission shaft 2d rotated integrally with the two rotors 2c, and a pedal side gear 2a and a rear wheel side gear 2g mounted at both ends of the power transmission shaft 2d.
[17] The two stators 2e are fixedly provided inside the motor housing 2f, and the two rotors 2c are rotatably mounted along the outer peripheries of the two stators 2e.
[18] The motor housing 2f is fixedly coupled at one side of a bicycle body. [19] The power transmission shaft 2d is rotated integrally with the rotors 2c, serving as a rotary shaft of the rotors 2c. [20] The two rotors 2c are continuously mounted along the outer periphery of the power transmission shaft 2d in a length direction of the power transmission shaft 2d, and the two stators 2e are correspondingly mounted along the outer peripheries of the two rotors 2c. That is to say, two sets of rotors 2c and stators 2e are continuously mounted along the outer periphery of the power transmission shaft 2d in the length direction of the power transmission shaft 2d. [21] The power transmission shaft 2d is mounted in such a manner as to be passed through the motor housing 2f. The power transmission shaft 2d is supported rotatably by shaft housings 2b. [22] The pedal side gear 2a and the rear wheel side gear 2g are fixedly mounted at both ends of the power transmission shaft 2d exposed to the outside of the motor housing 2f. [23] The pedal side gear 2a is rotatably mounted integrally with one end of the power transmission shaft 2d in such a manner as to be engaged with the gear attached to a pedal. [24] The gear attached to the pedal and the pedal side gear 2a function as bevel gears that cooperatively cross to each other. [25] The rear wheel side gear 2g is rotatably mounted integrally with the other end of the power transmission shaft 2d in such a manner as to be engaged with the gear attached to the rotary shaft of a rear wheel. [26] The gear attached to the rotary shaft of the rear wheel and the rear wheel side gear
2g function as bevel gears that cooperatively cross to each other. [27] In this embodiment, the power transmission means, that transmits the power generated by the rotation of the power transmission shaft 2d to the gear attached to the pedal and to the gear attached to the rotary shaft of the rear wheel, are not restricted to the bevel gears. [28] The motor with an integral body type of power transmission shaft according to the present invention is directly connected to an intermediate portion of a power transmission shaft assembly body transmitting power from the pedal of the bicycle to the rear wheel. [29] Now, an explanation of the operation of the motor with an integral body type of power transmission shaft according to the present invention will be given. [30] First, when the bicycle is driven by the pedal with no power of the motor, the power is transmitted from the gear attached to the pedal to the pedal side gear 2a mounted at the pedal side end portion of the power transmission shaft 2d. [31] As the pedal side gear 2a is rotated, the power transmission shaft 2d is rotated integrally with the pedal side gear 2a, such that the rear wheel side gear 2g is rotated integrally with the power transmission shaft 2d.
[32] If the rear wheel side gear 2g is rotated, the gear attached to the rotary shaft of the rear wheel is rotated cooperatively to the rear wheel side gear 2g, such that the rear wheel is rotated.
[33] On the other hand, when the bicycle is driven with the power of the motor, the power transmission shaft 2d is rotated to rotate the rear wheel side gear 2g. If the rear wheel side gear 2g is rotated, the gear attached to the rotary shaft of the rear wheel is rotated cooperatively to the rear wheel side gear 2g, such that the rear wheel is finally rotated.
[34] The motor with an integral body type of power transmission shaft according to the present invention has a substantially thin and elongated body having a length substantially longer than a diameter thereof, such that it is most desirably of a multi-step structure wherein the body is divided by 2 to N so as to improve the assembling and productivity thereof. Industrial Applicability
[35] According to the present invention, a motor with an integral body type of power transmission shaft according to the present invention is mounted at an electric bicycle with no chain. Further, the motor of this invention may be utilized to a bicycle that is driven by the power applied from the motor or the pedals.
