Description
OFFER METHOD OF TOTAL FINANCE SERVICE IN UBIQUITOUS ENVIRONMENT AND SYSTEM FOR THE SAME
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a financial service method, and in particular to an integration type financial service method under a ubiquitous environment and a system of the same in which a plurality of independent financial related service systems are reestablished under one ubiquitous environment, so that a certain user uses diverse financial services without any limitation in use.
[2]
Background Art
[3] Generally, as an internet network advances, a huge innovation comes in information and transaction fields, and all information are shared, and borderless transactions are achieved.
[4] In addition, with a cyber space through the network, diverse services and online real time transaction can be possible through the cyber space. Offline transaction and diverse proxy services as well as electronic commerce through the online are widely activated.
[5] As communication technologies advance, a new online bank transaction process system such as a phone banking or an internet banking is developed in the field of a bank transaction. Namely, a new service different from a conventional service area of a credit card-based service including a cash card can be provided.
[6] Namely, the above-described online bank service process system is designed to provide a customer with a method for convenient bank services such as an account transfer service using a telephone or a personal computer at home or an office.
[7] As a mobile payment method using a cellular phone performed for a small amount transaction of money is developed, it is possible to pay using a cellular phone without a certain information transaction (bank account number, transfer bank) for an account transfer for thereby maximizing customer's financial service convenience.
[8] However, since the above-described financial services are provided with unique operation methods, convenience is enhanced in each service, but in view of customers, an individual payment terminal should be provided to each user with respect to diverse financial services for thereby increasing inconvenience.
[9] Namely, for a payment using a cellular phone, it is needed to buy a new cellular phone having a corresponding function and to request a service, and a credit card should be carried with a risk of loss. In the case of an internet banking service, it is
needed to use only a certain computer which stores a certain data concerning authentication, so that a problem lies in space. When the phone banking service is used, there are not any time and space limits but it is inconvenient for using communication, and a password may be open to others.
[10] So, a customer prefers his own financial service, so that other financial services are not widely used.
[11] In some cases, when a user wants to use a certain financial service at a certain place or using a certain solution, with the financial service not being currently used by the user, the user may feel confusing or may be in trouble.
[12] When a customer wants to pay money after shopping at a department store, a convenient store or a mart in a state that the customers does not have purse, in the case that a customer's cellular phone does not have a payment function, the customer should give up shopping. Even when the customer's cellular phone has a payment function, a corresponding mart may not have a corresponding payment function. In addition, since a payment function using a cellular phone is designed to pay only a small amount of money, it is impossible to pay a large amount of money.
[13] Therefore, it is urgently needed to integrate diverse financial services, which are currently provided to ordinary customers under diverse and independent different operation systems.
[14]

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[34] The above-described objects and advantages will be apparent by a person who skilled in the art and by the preferred embodiments of the present invention which will be described as follows with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[35] The technical concepts of the present invention will be briefly described. A conventional electronic commercial payment method is performed in such a manner that a payer provides a seller with his own credit information, and the seller transfer them to a financial organ for thereby obtaining an approval and authentication. Namely, the seller leads and performs a financial payment based on an electronic commerce.
[36] Since the seller has a leading right for a financial service, when a payer does not have a charge payment unit corresponding to a charge payment authentication unit of a seller, it is impossible to perform payment.
[37] Namely, in the case of a credit card, when a seller is provided with a function for paying using only a certain credit card, even when a payer has many kinds of credit cards, it is impossible to perform a charge payment using a credit card.
[38] In the present invention, an integration type financial service can be achieved by allowing a payer to have a leading payment right with respect to a financial service.
[39] Namely, a seller provides a payer with a seller's charging information, and a payer performs an approval and authentication for money payment through a payer's payment unit and provides to the seller. So, the seller receives money through a payer's payment unit based on an approval and authentication provided by the payer, so that it is possible to prevent a financial safety accident or a financial fraud or a tax evasion which occurs as a personal information leakage occurs. In the present invention, it is possible to maximize a user's convenience.
[40] In a conventional method, when a buyer and a payer are different, a buyer uses a payer's credit information, so that many problems occur. In the present invention, a payer receives an approval with respect to an approval financial transaction and provides to a seller, so that it is possible to overcome the above-described conventional problems.
[41] The preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[42] Figure 1 is a view illustrating an integration type financial service method under a ubiquitous environment according to the present invention.
[43] As shown therein, a basic system construction according to the present invention is
classified into a financial terminal, a financial organ and a financial service provider (financial server). Here, since a seller, a buyer and a payer are necessary components in the use of a financial service, they are not shown in the drawings. Here, the buyer and the payer may be same or different persons.
[44] In the construction of the system, the financial terminal includes all kinds of cash automatic dispensers and ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) which are used by a financial organ (first financial group or second financial group), a cash automatic dispenser which is used through a VAN service network, and a POS (Point of Sale) which is used for an electronic commerce.
[45] To provide an integration type financial service under a ubiquitous environment according to the present invention, it is needed to provide all financial terminals (POS, ATM, cash automatic dispenser, etc) with inherent numbers. In the following descriptions, it is assumed that all financial terminals are provided with inherent numbers.
[46] When a seller provides a payer with a seller's credit information (inherent number of terminal, amount, transaction number, etc), the payer performs a transaction approval and authentication through a financial service provider or a financial organ based on the seller's credit information, and the seller is provided with the information concerning the above transaction, so that a payment is performed.
[47] Figure 2 is a flow chart of a method for paying a financial charge in accordance with an integration type financial service under a ubiquitous environment according to the present invention. As shown therein, when a certain buyer wants to pay charge for buying a certain product or a service, the seller reports a seller's financial terminal i nformation and charge information to the buyer (or payer).
[48] Here, a communication between the buyer and the seller may be an actual transaction based on offline or a cyber transaction based on online. In addition, the buyer and seller may be a person who lives in a local area or in a foreign country.
[49] The information of the financial terminal may include a terminal inherent code or an invoice (transaction content report), and charge information may include information such as a payment amount and payment account.
[50] Here, the buyer (or payer) is connected with a financial service provider (financial server) using a buyer's communication unit (computer, mobile terminal, etc) and receives an authentication as an approved user and requests a confirmation with respect to a transaction content and a request amount.
[51] The financial service provider requests a transaction information confirmation based on a confirmation request of a payer to the side of the seller terminal. The seller terminal outputs a certain response with respect to an inquiry request with respect to the request amount for payment, and the financial service provider reports to the payer.
[52] The payer approves the charge payment when the payer has an intension for paying the charge with respect to a corresponding transaction and selects a payment method (credit card, account transfer, etc) that the payer has.
[53] The financial service provider requests a transaction approval to a governing financial organ corresponding to the charge payment method that the payer selects. The financial organ requests an information of the seller to the financial service provider, and the financial service provider transfers the information from the seller to a corresponding financial organ.
[54] The financial organ confirms the information of the seller and the payer and transfers the information (credit card payment approval information, etc) based on the transaction approval to the seller terminal through the financial service provider, and the seller terminal issues a receipt to the buyer based on the transaction approval.
[55] At this time, in the case that the payment method is an account transfer method, the seller terminal requests an account transfer to the financial service provider, and the financial service provider transfers information concerning a cash withdrawal and a withdrawal request to a corresponding financial organ. The financial organ performs an account transfer to the seller terminal through the financial service provider.
[56] The seller terminal confirms whether the account transfer is finished or not and reports a result of the confirmation of the same to the financial organ and the payer through the financial service provider.
[57] In the case that the seller terminal is a device such as an ATM, etc. having a cash payment function, since the sale corresponds to a cash withdrawal, it means a cash service through a credit card or a cash payment through the account transfer.
[58] The construction of the financial server for performing a method of the present invention will be described with reference to Figure 3.
[59] Figure 3 is a block diagram illustrating a financial server for providing an integration type financial service under a ubiquitous environment according to the present invention. The financial server according to the present invention comprises a database 120 which stores information of a buyer (payer) who applied a service based on a certain regulation for the use of a service according to the present invention and information of a seller who agreed a payment through the service of the present invention; a database management module 150 which loads information of the database 120 and manages when the stored information is modified or has a certain change; a communication connection module 130 which performs a data communication with a buyer (payer) and a seller and diverse financial organs having an agreement concerning the use of the service according to the present invention; a payer confirmation (management) module 100 which manages a login process, a personal information confirmation and information management of a payer who logins for the use
of a service by connecting through the communication connection module 130; a seller confirmation (management) module 100 which manages a login process, a personal information confirmation and information management of a seller who logins for the use of a service by connecting through the communication connection module 130; and a financial service control module 140 which controls a certain service of a charge payment through information exchange between the buyer (payer) and the seller and the financial organs.
[60] As shown in Figure 3, the database 120 comprises a member information DB 121 which stores information concerning whole contents for a personal information confirmation and information exchange of the buyer (payer); a financial authentication DB 122 which stores information needed when each member who is managed through the member information DB 121 requests an approval on the use of the financial transaction to the financial organ; a payment method DB 123 which stores information on the financial payment unit of each member who is managed through the member information DB 121; and a financial terminal DB 124 which stores information needed for a personal information confirmation of the seller and information exchange and payment charge.
[61] Here, the information stored in the financial terminal DB 124 includes a terminal inherent number, a business registration number, a company name and representative's name, an address and receipt account information, etc.
[62] The information stored in the member information DB 121 includes a member's name, a resident registration number (social security number), an address and mobile communication terminal number, etc. The information stored in the financial authentication DB 122 includes a material which is needed when a financial organ performs a confirmation request for a financial transaction such an electronic authentication certificate issued from the financial organ by a user.
[63] The information stored in the payment method DB 123 includes information on a transaction bank account and credit card of each member, which is a payment unit.
[64] As shown in Figure 3, the communication connection module 130 comprises a
SMS/MMS module 131 used when information on a payment request or a payment completion is reported to the buyer (payer) or a seller; a wired internet connection module 132 designed so that the buyer (payer) or the seller is connected with the service server through the wired internet network and transmits and receives information on the charge payment; a wireless internet connection module 133 designed so that the buyer (payer) or seller is connected with the service server through the wireless internet network and transmits and receives information on the charge payment; and a financial organ connection module 134 which is connected with a corresponding financial organ for an authentication and approval during a financial
process with a financial organ having an agreement concerning the use of the service according to the present invention. [65] The flows of the services of Figures 1 and 2 performed through the financial server for providing an integration type financial service under a ubiquitous environment according to the present invention will be described. [66] For the use of the service of the financial service provider according to the present invention, the seller and person having a real name should register as a member and perform the following procedures. [67] (1) It is needed to register a member number and password number through a real name and to use a public authentication certificate. [68] (2) It is needed to receive an authentication through an authentication procedure for the use of a mobile communication terminal number and to register the same. [69] (3) A payment unit (account number, card number, etc) should be registered after a user authentication procedure by a corresponding financial organ.
[70] (4) An interoperation state with a member registration number and a mobile communication terminal number during payment should be registered. [71] [72] In the present invention, when a charge is paid, the seller provides a buyer or payer with a terminal inherent number, the amount of money, transaction number, etc. through an online or offline method after the buyer buys a certain product or service and provides the buyer or payer with a seller's information through the same. When the payer pays the charge, the payment is performed using a transaction approval number provided by the financial organ using the service of the financial organ or the financial service provider and a transaction authentication number provided by the financial service provider. [73] Diverse financial services such as cash withdrawal and transaction money payment can be performed using a financial terminal (ATM, cash automatic payment device, etc) having an inherent number. [74] The preferred embodiments of the construction and method according to the present invention will be described. [75] 1) In the case of a commercial transaction which uses a service of a financial service provider [76] First step: when a buyer buys a certain product or service and reports a payment method of charge by selecting a financial organ or a financial service provider, the terminal of the seller is connected with the financial service server and transfers a terminal inherent number, amount of money, transaction number and transaction content. [77] Second step: When the buyer buys a product or service, the seller provides the
payer with a terminal inherent number, transaction amount, transaction content, etc. at the terminal through offline or by using a member number of a financial business man and SMS, MMS, etc. of the mobile communication terminal. When the payment is requested through the financial service server, the business server receives a terminal inherent number, amount of money, transaction content, etc. and stores the same in a payment request list.
[78] Third step: the payer is approved by the financial service server as a proper user by the public authentication certificate through the wired or wireless internet and is connected with the server of the financial service provider or is directly connected with the financial organ through the ATM terminal using a certain card or is connected based on a method of the wired or wireless internet.
[79] Fourth step: the payer confirms information on a company name, transaction content or transaction amount through the financial service provider or the financial organ and requests a payment approval.
[80] Fifth step: the financial organ, which received a payment approval request, confirms
(password number, security card, etc) whether he is a proper user or not and transfers a transaction approval number to the financial service provider, and the financial service server reprocesses the same and transfers a transaction authentication number of the terminal of the seller, so that the payment concerning the commercial transaction is performed.
[81]
[82] 2) In the case of a commercial transaction payment system and service using a service of a financial service provider
[83] First step: the buyer buys a certain product or service and reports a member number of a financial service provider or a mobile communication terminal number to the seller using a financial service provider.
[84] Second step: the terminal of the seller transfers information concerning a user's ID or a number of a mobile communication terminal, a terminal inherent number, a transaction amount and a transaction content through the financial service server and requests payment. The financial service server searches a database of a member subscriber and reports that the payment is requested through SMS, MMS, etc using the number of the mobile communication terminal of the member subscriber, and the above contents are temporarily stored.
[85] Third step: the payer is connected with the financial service server through the wired or wireless internet using a mobile communication terminal, PC, notebook, etc. and is approved as a proper user using the public authentication certificate and requests information of the seller and information concerning a transaction amount, transaction content, etc. The financial service server provides the payer with the stored in-
formation.
[86] Fourth step: the payer selects a payment method among a credit card, account transfer, etc. which is registered when the payer registers and requests a transaction approval. The financial service server requests an approval to the transaction approval server of a corresponding financial organ, and the financial organ confirms (password number, security card number, etc) whether the user is a proper user or not and provides a transaction approval number to the financial service server.
[87] Fifth step: The business server of the financial service provider stores a transaction approval number into the database and reprocesses the same and creates a transaction approval number and transmits a transaction approval number of the terminal of the seller.
[88] Sixth step: when the transaction approval number is received, the terminal of the seller stores a transaction approval number and prints out a receipt, so that the payment is finished.
[89]
[90] 3) In the case of a commercial transaction payment system and service using an
ATM or internet banking
[91] First step: the buyer buys a certain product or service and reports to the seller that the payment method is a bank payment system, and the information of the seller will be provided through the SMS, MMS, etc.
[92] Second step: the terminal of the seller provides an inherent number of a terminal, a transaction amount, etc. using SMS, MMS or offline method and transfers information on an inherent information of a terminal, transaction amount, transaction content, etc. through the financial service server and requests payment.
[93] Third step: the business server of the financial service provider registers in a payment standby list and waits a connection request from the financial organ.
[94] Fourth step: the payer is connected with a corresponding financial organ through
ATM, internet method, etc. and inputs a terminal inherent number and transaction number. A corresponding financial organ transfers the inputted information to the financial service server, and the financial service server searches from the payment standby list and transfers a detailed information on a seller's information, transaction content, transaction amount, etc. to a corresponding financial organ.
[95] Fifth step: the payer confirms information on a seller's information, transaction content, transaction amount, etc. provided by the financial organ and approves payment.
[96] Sixth step: the financial organ confirms whether the user is proper or not and provides a financial service provider with a transaction approval number.
[97] Seventh step: the financial service server reprocesses a transaction approval number
and transfers the transaction authentication number to the terminal of the seller.
[98]
[99] 4) In the case of a payment system and service in an electronic commerce
[100] First step: in the electronic commerce, the payment system provides a virtual POS to the server which operates a shopping mall.
[101] Second step: a virtual financial terminal number is provided to the payment module of the shopping mall server. The following procedures are performed in the same manner as the above procedures.
[102]
[103] 5) In the case of an international commercial transaction payment system and service
[104] First step: in the international financial services, the above-described procedures are performed. The payer is approved as a proper user by connecting with a financial service provider or financial organ of a corresponding country, and then the payment is performed through the financial service server between countries.
[105]
[106] 6) In the case of a financial system and service in which cash is withdrawn using
ATM, and internet banking.
[107] First step: a financial organ is connected using a public authentication certificate or an ATM through wired or wireless internet which may be performed using a card, PC, PDA, etc. which is used for withdrawing a cash by an owner of the same or others. The withdrawing amount, an inherent number of a withdrawing financial terminal, a valid time of a transaction authentication number, a password used for withdrawal are inputted. The user is approved as a proper user based on a method such as an account password number or a security card. The user receives a transaction approval number from the bank through offline, SMS, MMS, e-mail or on a currently connected screen. When the owner or third party inputs a transaction approval number and password on the selected financial terminal using the received transaction approval number and password, the financial terminal transmits the information to a corresponding bank. A corresponding financial organ judges whether the transaction approval number, the password and the financial terminal number are matched or not and further judges whether the transaction approval number is used within a valid time period or not. In the case that withdrawal is possible, a cash withdrawal permission signal is transmitted to the terminal, and the terminal pays the amount to the user, and a result of the above transaction is transmitted to a corresponding financial organ, so that the transaction is normally finished.
[108]
Industrial Applicability
[109] As described above, according to the integration type financial service method under a ubiquitous environment and a system of the same, the seller provides a payer with his charging information, and the payer performs an approval and authentication based on the charge payment through a payment unit of the payer and provides the above content to the seller. So, the seller is paid through the payer's payment unit based on the approval and authentication information provided by the payer, so that it is possible to prevent a financial safety accident or a financial fraud or a tax evasion problem which occur due to a leakage of a personal information for thereby maximizing a user's convenience.
[110] It is possible to overcome the conventional diverse problems which occur when the buyer uses credit information of a payer when the buyer and payer are different in such a manner that the payer receives an approval with respect to an approval financial transaction and provides to the seller.
[I l l] As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be understood that the above-described examples are not limited by any of the details of the foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims, and therefore all changes and modifications that fall within the meets and bounds of the claims, or equivalences of such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced by the appended claims.
