Abstract
Le moteur thermique est pourvu d'au moins un cylindre (2) présentant un axe central (X), d'une culasse (10) fermant le ou chaque cylindre (2), et d'un piston (6) mobile à l'intérieur du ou de chaque cylindre (2) selon l'axe central (X). Ce piston (6) est délimité vers la culasse (10) par une surface (14) au moins en partie concave, la partie concave formant un bol (16). Ladite surface (14) définit avec la culasse (10) et le cylindre (2) une chambre de combustion (20) de volume variable en fonction des mouvements du piston (6). Au moins un parmi le bol (16) ou la culasse (10) présente vers l'intérieur de la chambre de combustion un ou plusieurs reliefs (24) en saillie ou en creux par rapport à la surface moyenne du bol (16) ou de la culasse (10), présentant un sommet excentré par rapport à l'axe (X).
