A benefit of the invention is that it effectively reduces the amount of spam messages because of the indirect trust model of the invention. In other words, messaging is enabled between friend members and with friends' public contacts.
  • Another advantage of the invention is that the circle of acquaintances of a member automatically expands when also "friends' friends" of the member are able to directly communicate with the member and therefore they are able to add the member to their own contacts.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé, un programme et un système de serveur qui permettent de communiquer au sein d'une collectivité dans un réseau de communication, cette collectivité étant composée de plusieurs membres. Ce procédé consiste à stocker, pour chaque membre (204,208) de la collectivité (28), une liste de contacts comprenant au moins un membre (202, 206) dans une base de données (26), la visibilité de cette liste étant soit publique soit secrète pour les membres amis de la collectivité lesquels peuvent s'échanger des messages. Ce procédé consiste ensuite à permettre à un premier membre ami d'envoyer directement des messages à un membre public figurant dans la liste de contacts d'un second membre ami, et à empêcher le premier membre ami de voir le membre secret de la liste de contacts du second membre ami.
