Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method for packaging garments, as well as to the packaging used in said method.
  • Another of the drawbacks is that the garments are frequently exposed to sunlight, so that colors can be altered in those areas on which the light falls.
  • this technique entails some inconveniences for the store's operations, since they must extract the garments from the factory boxes, place them on the shelves, fold them and deploy them repeatedly to show them to potential customers and, when making the sale, perform the search for the garment whose characteristics of color, size, etc. correspond to the client in question.
  • the method for packaging garments has been devised as well as a suitable container for use in the aforementioned method, presenting constructive particularities oriented to provide a series of advantages such as the protection of the garment from the moment of its manufacture until the moment in which it is acquired by a customer, the orderly placement of the garments on display in the store so that they can be easily located, reducing the number of returns of garments, limiting it exclusively to those that present defects or manufacturing fares, expedite the handling of the product, reduce the storage space of the product and consequently the final costs, and prevent the garments acquired by customers from having been previously tested or handled at the point of exposure.
  • the method for packaging garments object of this invention comprises the following steps: a) the flat folding of the manufactured piece and its winding, to provide a cylindrical configuration as the first option, or the multiple folding to provide a flattened configuration as a second option; b) the introduction of the rolled or folded garment in a first container or inner package that is flexible and of dimensions adjusted to the volume of the garment, so that said package adopts a configuration similar to that of the previously rolled or folded garment; c) the closure of said first container by gluing or heat sealing; d) the labeling of the packaged garment by means of the application, by the outer part of the package, of a label for sticking or printing as well as a sheet of protection against theft; e) the introduction of the previous set into a second outer package or container, which has transverse and longitudinal dimensions slightly greater than those of said first package and adopts a configuration similar to this; g) the closure of said second container by gluing or heat sealing and; finally, h) the arrangement of the packaged garments,

  • the closure of the container by gluing or heat sealing has the purpose of keeping the garment protected from the moment of its manufacture until it is acquired by the customer so that the garment will not be damaged by successive handling and tests to which these types of garments are generally submitted in stores or outlets.
  • the maintenance of the garment inside the container until the moment of its acquisition by the client also prevents the garment from being damaged voluntarily or involuntarily avoiding returns that are not correspond to manufacturing defects; It is also avoided that the garments returned by having tares can be placed back in the exhibition, since they will not have the corresponding container.
