Abstract

A body of the valve, especially of the ball valve, according to the invention has got a shape of a shell made of two parts (1, 2) joined with each other constantly in the place which forms section of the body assigned by contact of parts (1, 2) towards themselves. The section of the body takes place on the oblique situated plane (P) made between vertical (Y) and horizontal (X) planes which assign the axes of symmetry of the body. Each of the parts (1, 2) at the side contact with second part has got a sloping plane (Pl, P2), moreover the plane (Pl, P2) is sloped in such a way that in each of the parts there is an assemly hole (3).

Description

VALVE BODY , ESPECIALLY FOR A BALL VALVE
This invention relates to the body of the valve, especially the ball valve.
It is known, the body of the ball valve, having a shape of a shell, made of two parts joined with each other constantly in the section line of the body.
It is used a vertical section, which takes place in a plane, which goes through the vertical axis of the valve e.g. in the axis of the stem or horizontal section which goes through the main axis the valve e.g. in the axis of gas flow.
The above mentioned sections of the body make assembly difficult and they enlarge costs of its production, because after mounting finishing is necessary in places of ends of welded joints within assembly holes.
In order to eliminate above inconveniences the body of the ball valve with a new section was worked out.
The body of the valve, especially of the ball valve, according to the invention, having the shape of a shell made of two parts joined with each other constantly in the place forming section of the body, assigned by contact of these parts towards themselves, characterised in that, the section of the body takes place on the obliquely situated plane which is situated between vertical and horizontal planes assigning axes of the symmetry of the body.
Each part of the shell at the side of the contact with second part has got a sloping plane, moreover the plane is slopped in such a way that in each of the part of the shell there is an assembly hole. Using of the oblique section of body, according to the invention, enables making of all componet parts of the ball valve ready and mounting of them directly before putting closing weld. The object of invention is shown in the example of the accompanying drawing in which fig.l presents a side view of the shell of the body, fig.2 - parts of the body before joining, fig.3 - is an enlarged fragment of contact of two parts of the body in section, fig.4 - enlarged fragment of a rim of one part of a body, fig.5 - enlarged fragment of rim of the second part of the body.
The body of the valve, especially the ball valve, according to the invention, has got the shape of a shell made of two parts 1_ , 2 joined with each other constantly in the place which forms section of the body. The section is assigned by contact of parts 1 , 2 .
That section takes place along obliquely placed plane P , which is located between planes, vertical Y and horizontal X , assigning axes of symmetry of the body.
Each of parts 1 , 2 of the shell, from the side of contact with second part has a sloping plane correspondingly indicated as Pl , P2 , moreover the plane Pl , P2 is sloped in such a way, that there is an assembly hole 3 in each of the parts 1 , 2 .
Sloping plane Pi of the part I of the shell of the body has got a spline 4 on the whole circuit passing into a cavity 5 , but a sloping plane P2 of the second part of the shell of the body has got a cavity 6 passing into a spline
1 ■
As mentioned above they form so called lock, which enables establishing of reciprocal position of part i , 2 for welding in total.
On the outer circuit of the shell along section line a recess 8 is formed for a closing weld.
