Abstract

A machine for cleaning escalators and the like, particularly for cleaning the riser of steps, comprising a chassis (2) which supports brush means (4), which can be positioned so as to engage at least the rise of at least one step (30) of an escalator (3) to be cleaned; the brush means (4) being associated with a supporting element (5) which is mounted on the chassis (2) so that it can rotate about an oscillation axis (6) which is substantially parallel to the transverse extension of the escalator (3), in order to allow the brush means (4) to engage sequentially the steps of the escalator (3) following the activation for movement of the escalator (3) with respect to the chassis (2).
